No thanks, he will bitch and moan playing in the Triangle offense. Jason Williams needs to be on a team where he can push the ball and be creative with it. The Lakers are too, structured for a player like him. He's also a terrible defensive player, he is everything PJax does not want in a PG.

i wouldnt. we need a player who wont complain and will do what he is told. i doubt he will even put in the effort to learn the triangle.

There's enough players on the team that already don't know the triangle, why get rid of two players who know the triangle and have experience? Atleast not for Williams..

the Griz have a real GM, and Williams has more value. Besides with Turief out the Lakers will need Slava on the front line. Before Phil left he was putting up good numbers. Also right now, DGeorge is the only guy signed that can come off the bench and play the two guard if Kobe has to come off the court or play the point.

Hey, If Memphis were to offer it, the Lakers would have to take it.

    1. Lakers have no pg depth
    2. George has injury problems
    3. J Will is a much better player than George
    4. If worse comes to worse, and they had to trade J Will they lost very little in George and probably would receive someone better than him.

The only thing that might be bad for this trade, Shape keeps speaking of wanting to have cap space for 08 I think. So I don't know the length of J Will's contract off the top of my head.

    Not a good fit

I think that either Jalen Rose or Derek Anderson are a much better fit in the Laker Triangle offense than Jason. Slava and George are valuable assets, especially since we have lost Turiaf for at least a year and both George and Slava have been starters under Phil in the past.

Bottom line if we end up giving up either of these players it should be for a player that fits better with our offensive scheme.

That is not to say we should trade these players for either Rose or Anderson necessarily since they may become available by way of being waived by their respective teams, especially Anderson.
