<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">And this week Jack Sikma is signing a three-year deal to be a top assistant to Weiss. Jeez. Imagine the cash and employment flow if the Sonics had done something such as win more than one playoff series. Who knew last October there were three head coaches on the bench, with a fourth on the way? That last part is a tad premature. But in a sports world where today's news is tomorrow's speculation, Sikma's name is written in light pencil as the successor to Weiss -- before Weiss has lost his first game as Sonics boss. While Sikma yesterday offered up all of the predictable qualifiers, he didn't leap up to deny his ambition to someday become an NBA head coach. "I think that can happen," he said, "while realizing that there's just as much chance elsewhere as here."</div> Seattle PI.
Ya know, I've never been all that impressed with Sikma's intelligence. I don't really have a good reason for saying that, he's just never struck me as a smart guy. I think it's because when he first moved to WA as a rookie, he failed his drivers license test (having recently moved back I had to take it...hey it's kinda hard ) And big guys never seem like coaches on the floor, point guards get all the jobs.
