Remember the Lakers game[Earlier this year]?..Didnt he make like 8 3 pointers?..He was very close to beating someones record in Sonics franchise history...He ended up tying I think.

The distinction is that Reggie can't play offense and Vlad can play defense, whether it is by effort or luck. Radman may not be the best defender ever, but he can still play defense (and very well if he chooses to). Reggie can barely catch a pass or make a contested layup. I think the anti-Vlad people are exaggerating in this topic when they claim he can only shoot threes. That's what he's best at, so that's what he does. However, Reggie can ONLY rebound and play nagging defense.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting 44Thrilla:</div><div class="quote_post">At least you've managed to make some sense of it. Though I can't see how a one-dimensional player that shoots threes is that much more important than a one-dimensional player that's the best rebounder in the league.</div>

Im going to completely ignore the Reggie Evans part of this equation. I want him back and dont really want to compare the two players. But the fact that you continue to call Radmanovic one dimensional is very misleading. He can drive to the basket and is without a doubt a better defender then given credit for. Also that supposed one dimensional part of his game is basically impossible for powerforwards to guard. While on the other end of the court Vlade has shown he CAN guard opposing powerforwards.

lol @ '44' calling Vlad a one dimensional player, Its obvious you probably dont watch Radmanovic play, you just look @ his stats and think hes one dimensional.

I love Vlad, I don't think he's one-dimensional at all. Right now his strength is the long ball, obviously, but he got a lot better last year at honing his all around game - especially his up fake where he'd get in the lane and dish off to, ironically, Reggie, it seemed like.

His defense got a lot better too, particularly out on the floor.

But he still has a long way in order to justify that 9mil his agent is asking for.

I don't ever see him getting more than 5 or 6 boards per game, his post defense is terrible, he has no inbetween game and he needs to finish better at the rim (if it's not a dunk, he doesn't finish).

Plus as noted his consistency needs work; if he has a bad shooting game it seems the rest of his game suffers. Rashard went through that too before making some strides last year.

When more than half of a player's field goal attempts are 3 point attempts, then that's what his game is about. Sure, he is capable of doing other things, just like Reggie Evans is, but the purpose of my wording was to accentuate the major difference in their play.

I personally think it's easier to replace a 6-10 player that's primary purpose is to shoot 3 pointers, especially one that reportedly turned down a 7million/year deal. He's not worth that at all.

I dont think hes worth 7 or 9 million neither. But I dont think hes one dimensional, He takes a lot of 3s because thats what the Sonics use him for, to shoot the 3 ball and bring that scoring power off of the bench.
