<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Dorell Wright sat in his brand new, and almost entirely empty, Los Angeles condominium with a mouth full of wire, a fake tooth, a remote control pointed at a huge flat-screen television and a head loaded with concerns. It had been just more than a year since Wright officially became an NBA player, and he was wondering if he was jinxed, if he'll have to sit through another zero-impact season and how soon he'll be able to get back on the court considering he can barely eat solid foods. This was not exactly the type of summer he had in mind. This was supposed to be the summer Wright proved to the Heat he could be the upgrade the team needed off the bench, and that the front office need not pursue any free agents at his position.</div> Miami Herald (Registration Required) There's for parts to this Including the intro, "Calling it Quits", "Riley To The Rescue", "Injury Plagued", "Jinxed Again", "Finding His Role" and "Ready to Work". It's a great piece on Wright and what he has gone through thus far in his career. I encourage Heat fans to read this and those who want to know about Wright and what he has gone through and currently going through in his career and life
Great read... really great read. I didn't think all this stuff happened throughout the course of Wright's rookie career. I mean, quitting the game of basketball entirely??!! It really must be a tough transition from the star to bench warmer, he needs to keep his head up and keep on trying. He has to persevere in order to get better.
Great read for any Heat/Dorell Wright fan. I've never thought about it myself, from going from one of the best players in the country in your league, to another league where your sitting on the bench. I hope Wright can finally get some playing time this season and prove that he does indeed belong.
wow, didnt know he went through all of that. i hope he does get that chance to prove what he can do. he'll def. help out the heat if he plays to the potential.
