Jason Williams is close to being traded in a three-team deal that would include the Miami Heat, according to the Memphis Commercial Appeal www.commercialappeal.com I would post the whole article but I'm too lazy to register

hmmm...Auno bout Williams but he's ok, I don't wan't Walker or Blount, but Williams may work out. Interesting to see what happens with ihm and Wade in the backcourt.
On RealGM, the article states that Miami is included in the three way trade but nobody is sure where Jason Williams will be headed. I am guessing we would be getting Antoine Walker out of deal since there have been a lot of rumors about him. I'm not sure I want Antoine Walker since I really like Udonis Haslem. I would hate to see him take a paycut to stay in Miami then have to come off the bench. Haslem always hustles and is a good role player who doesn't take to many shots away from Dwyane Wade or Shaquille O'Neal. Walker is a scoring power forward and that isn't what the Heat need right now. He is also a streaky shooter and I would rather us keep Haslem and have Simien come off the bench.
A new article on RealGM suggest it could be Eddie Jones being shipped out in this deal. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Miami Herald - Not satisfied with the makeup of a team that was one game from the NBA Finals, Heat president Pat Riley is considering making significant moves that could include trading swingman Eddie Jones and acquiring Memphis point guard Jason Williams, according to several NBA sources. Among the moves being considered is a trade that would send Jones to Memphis and bring Williams and small forward James Posey to Miami. Williams played three years with the Sacramento Kings and four with the Grizzlies, earning a reputation as a talented but troubled player. The Grizzlies have been trying to move him all offseason. However, Williams is among the best passers in the league, can run both a fast break and halfcourt offense and is a three-point threat. Posey is a quality defender with a versatile offensive game, but he spent much of last season battling nagging foot injuries that limited him to 50 games. Jones was the Heat's third-leading scorer last season and best perimeter defender, proving his worth during last year's run to the Eastern Conference finals. But trade rumors have surrounded the 11-year veteran since his first year in Miami.</div> Source
Ugh, I don't like Jason Williams at all, but if he can play under control like he did under Hubie, then it should be a good acquisition. Hopefully playing with Shaq and under Riley's management would help him. Adding James Posey gives us a very good starting 5. When healthy, he can be a very good player as he proved in the 03-04 season. I'm hoping that we don't land Toine.

If we get Jason Williams and James Posey I think we will be even better then last year and will make the Finals. Think about it for a second. Jason Williams, Dwyane Wade, James Posey, Udonis Haslem and Shaquille O'Neal. Posey and Williams give us our outside threat and Posey is also a great defender. He is a shut down guy who will help in the playoffs and will play a crutial role in Miami. I would love to do this trade since Eddie Jones is out of his prime and probably only has a few more years left in the league anyways. Pull the trigger Pat!
Miami will indeed be NASTY if they somehow get Jwill. Just imagining how many problems Wade and Jwill are going to give other teams is crazy. I think Riley is trying to get a PG that can bring the ball up court so Wade can just focus on filling the wings. Brilliant move. The only question mark is can Jwill utilize his bigman. He plays so fast that Shaq may not have time to get position.
