<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Bobby Jackson minces no words. Ever. The soon-to-be Memphis Grizzlies guard was explaining the benefits of attitude and how he uses that theme for youth camps in Sacramento every summer. How players can separate themselves by doing more good than bad. How he's a pretty good example to emulate. "I tell young guys all the time that attitude is everything," Jackson said. "What would you rather be remembered for? Working hard and having a good attitude or being a jerk?" And, by the way, there's Bonzi Wells, the soon-to-be Kings guard who was in effect swapped for Jackson in a three-team deal that should become official next week. Wells is a good player with a sordid past of insubordination and suspect deeds. So, can Wells fit into the Kings scheme where Jackson used to thrive when his battered body allowed? "There's no doubt Bonzi can play," Jackson said. "But can he play in the Kings system? This is a passing, cutting system where teamwork is everything. He's (a one-on-one) player. He's got to be able to fit in if it's going to work. "Everyone knows what kind of player Bonzi is. Can he fit in with the system and can he keep his mouth shut?"</div> Source
i think it will take some time for him to settle, i see him not playing to his potential for the first 10 - 14 games, and he will become more comfortable with the system. Think the kings should (if they stay healthy) get around the 50 mark at the end of the season. people doubt whether they will even make the playoffs, but realistically, if they can stay healthy, miller thomas peja bonzi bibby that is not a weak team, no matter what anyone says, i can guarantee they will make the playoffs.
I Agree. Bonzi Wells is not going to come out the first week of the season dropping 20 per game. No way. Everyone has been hating on the Kings. They have accually bettered themselves from last season. Adding Bonzi Wells at SG and trading for Jason Hart makes them better from when they had Cuttino shooting too much and Bobby Jackson injured most of the season. No doubt they will make the playoffs, depending on injuries. And we all know that Petrie might have something up his sleeve. It really seems Bobby Jackson is mad that he got delt. I think he wanted to stay in Sacramento. We all loved him in Sacramento. The real question might be, Can Bobby Jackson fit in another NBA system outside of Sacramento?
Thats what I was trying to say, thank you! But, I think Sactown haven't got what it takes for a championship just yet, I see them gettin knocked out in the second round of the playoffs, but if they can pull off some trades, improve defense, we all know the kings haven't got a problem scoring, i think they'll be a contender. As for Bobby, he got heart, I think he'll be loved everywhere he goes, and I think he would contribute to any team, especially off the bench, if he can stay healthy.
I had a chance to hear Wells last week on the local sports radio. rather than try to give a synopsis of what he said, ill give you the link to the site and you can listen to him yourself. http://khtk.com/article.asp?id=48647 go to the audio archive and check out what he had to say for himself. its a 13mb mp3 file.
