I think he was good while he was here with the Suns. But i think i'm looking more foward to watching a real game like the Suns and the Nets or the Spurs

This is the only reason i think its okay for JJ to still be pissed. Amare shouldn't be telling a defender of Joe Johnson's calibur to play better defense (let alone against Dwayne Wade) when Amare is a pretty average defender.

    Johnson has no heart

This is ridiculous that people are making a big deal out of Amare's "expletive". These are grown men in tense situations. They swear on a nightly basis.

Joe Johnson has zero heart and zero spine. That's what this is about. Look at a couple of seasons ago when despite all his talent and athleticism he couldn't play a lick because there was someone competing for a job with him (Penny Hardaway). This kid doesn't perform well if under the threat of competition. He showed it in Boston and he showed it again here. In 03-04 he played well because he wasn't afraid of losing his job to anybody.

That's why he wants to go to Atlanta. He wants to play somewhere safe where there are no expectations to win. He knows his psyche couldn't handle the higher expectations that the Suns will have in the upcoming season, he knows he'd crumble under the pressure of having to live up to a high standard.

Why did he sit out several extra days after being fitted for his mask and being cleared to play by team doctors? The pressure to perform in the playoffs is too great.

He's an immense talent who doesn't have the intangibles to be a winner. No heart, no spine. Good riddance. Go to Atlanta and lose, loser.

P.S. What did Amare need to do most in his rookie year? Learn post moves (check)
What did Amare need to do before his second year? Get a jumpshot. (check)
What does he need to do to elevate his game this coming year? Improve on defense (just watch haters). Also, it's hard to D-up real centers when you're 6'10" and a forward playing out of position.

How foolish of you, that man is the reason you guys didnt get swept by the Spurs(and he came back injured and still shined)
People need to wake up and realize this is NOT the reason why he is leaving.

    And just an observation:

lmao the halftime where Amare cursed at Johnson bout Wade, was a second after Wade packed Amare and hit the fullcourt swish lol ha [IMG]

I will agree with you, JJ did greatly help our team last year. But the bottom line is that JJ left a championship caliber team that was willing to spend $70 million on him and decided to go to a team that did not even win 20 games last year. He also told the media and fans that he would like to come back to the Suns when the season ended. The bottom line is that the Suns saw him as a piece that would help win a championship and he gave up on his teammates, fans, and a city that had embraced and loved him. The Suns had every intention of resigning him((mms://phxsuns.wmod.llnwd.net/a205/o2/bell_050803.wmv ), but he simply ignored the FO. They were going to send Jerry Colangelo, Bryan Colangelo, Robert Sarver, and Amare (on at least two occasion to La La land and Little Rock) to try to lure him into resigning but he ignored them. He said that he did not have the time. While he helped us beat the Spurs it means nothing now, he gave on a chance to win a championship so he could be the man. SELFISH! He is thinking of his own personal stats and accolades over winning a championship. The Suns organization embraced him, they took a timid player and turned him into a consistent performer. They took so much time in summer leagues, practices, etc to make him a better player. And this is how he repays them!? Goodbye JJ, do not let the door hit you in the face (on second thought I hope it does). Enjoy your 20 win seasons and 20 point nights, we will enjoy our championship!

Also who averaged 29.5 ppg against your team this year?

Reminds me of a 300lb, 7 footer. I know exactly how it feels to support a player and then have them walk out on a situation and try to blame leaving on petty reasons. It's one thing for JJ to want to leave and truely become a superstar in the league by going to a young, rebuilding team. However, there are classier, more professional ways to handle a career change. JJ is going to regret burning the bridges he built as a Sun.

Amare was playing D on Shaq, and Shaq dominates any player in any aspect. However, Amare matched him on points, i think he did a pretty good job.

And JJ was facing DWade. While not dominating, he has tooken the league's finest defenders to school. Amare himself was owned by DWade when Wade blocked him.

Amare has probably owned more players then anyone recently. If I remember correctly he had some nice dunks on Shaq and company that game as well.

So you're saying that for instance Jermaine O'Neal has zero heart and zero spine, because of the fact that when he was back in Portland, he didn't perform when Rasheed Wallace was there? There's something called development, and in this case O'Neal was a late bloomer.

But wait hold on, didn't JJ still manage to average around 10 PPG and 28 MPG when Penny and Marbury were still around? How is that not performing? Even though his eFG% was lower back then, Nash (unlike Marbury and Penny) was able to give him a bunch of open looks, so naturally his eFG% was higher last season. On a team who had to share shots between Marbury, Penny, and Marion, he still performed well.

Give JJ a break. Some of you guys gotta go easier on the man, he probably knows what he's doing. Hey, maybe he finally realized that the trade for Kurt Thomas was horrible, lol.

I wonder how so many fans are able to read these player's minds. Maybe I should learn telepathy too... [IMG]
