<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Daily News - The NBA schedule for the 2005-06 season won't be released for another week, but Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant will meet in a Christmas Day showdown on ABC for the second consecutive year, sources said Monday. It will be the seventh consecutive season that the Lakers have played on Dec. 25 for a network telecast, but this year's game will take place in Miami rather than Staples Center. The cast of characters also has grown to include Phil Jackson, welcomed back as Lakers coach this summer. And for those who can't help but watch a car wreck, it will be a second chance for the Corvette and brick wall to have at it. The Lakers lost 104-102 to the Heat in overtime last season, the first meeting between Bryant and O'Neal since their breakup the previous summer. It was the highest-rated NBA regular-season game in nearly seven years and possibly the most-hyped in history. </div> Source
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting B-22:</div><div class="quote_post">The whole Kobe-Shaq rivalry is starting to get kind of old.</div> It's still good with me as long as I get to see them play on Christmas.
I know it will probably be a good game but I'd rather see someone else play on Christmas day, rather then listening to commentators during the Lakers Miami commenting about how Shaq and Kobe will approach each other before the game. Remember last year they were like "oh well they almost shook hand but they didn't make eye contact", lol who cares.

But I do enjoy watching two of the best players in the leauge and former teammates play on Christmas.
Yeah it's just fun to watch them go tit for tat during the game. The Christmas game should some sort of special grudge match because it makes the whole holiday thing better . Last year they had Indiana vs. Pistons and then right after they had Miami vs. LA and both games were pretty good.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The whole Kobe-Shaq rivalry is starting to get kind of old.</div> Yes it is getting old but you just can't help but love it along with the hype. Last years game turned out to be a stunner and I hope this one matches up to it. The addition of Phil Jackson makes this game just that much better.
I'd rather watch Dallas and Suns. Both good teams that run a face paced offense. And if you really want to see former teammates play, there's always Nash and Dirk.
The Kobe-shaq thing is getting old but what i really like seeing is the wade vs. kobe in that game the trashtalking and packs were amazing last season.
We all get to look forward to an awkward moment when players exchange handshakes before tip off. The Shaq v. Kobe feud is old news, but the Wade v. Kobe match-up is just starting.
Yep, hopefully Kobe can school Wade in this game. Hopefully the side's would be a bit more evened out as last time the odds were stacked against us in comparrison of each teams players.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The whole Kobe-Shaq rivalry is starting to get kind of old. </div>Took the words right out of my mouth. Still should be an exciting game.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheTruth5:</div><div class="quote_post">The Kobe-shaq thing is getting old but what i really like seeing is the wade vs. kobe in that game the trashtalking and packs were amazing last season.</div> EXACTLY Truth. This is what is really exciting about the games now "wade vs Kobe" not "Shaq vs Kobe"
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">And if you really want to see former teammates play, there's always Nash and Dirk.</div> it's really shameful you would even compare those two battling it out to Shaq vs. Kobe. But like many said, i actually think it's more "Kobe vs. Wade".
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Laker_fan:</div><div class="quote_post">I think alot of us would. I would prefer Kobe owning Wade though.</div> really? personally, i would rather see kobe getting only 2 points in a horrible game where he just throws down a monsterous dunk on shaq
