<div class="quote_poster">Quoting SupraJames:</div><div class="quote_post"> Utah is not an underrated team at all!! I don't get this. AK was injured and it was expected that they won't make the playoffs (and they didn't). I don't understand how in the hell can a team that finished with the SECOND WORST record in the West last year is underrated??? If you're talking about this year, yeah ok I can see that. They'll be alot more dangerous this year but the Jazz of 2004-2005 are not anywhere near being underrated. </div> I took it that we were talking about next season. If you look at Utah before AK47s injury, they were one of the hottest teams in the leadue, and it all went down hill after the injury.. PLus Boozer got infured later on two. Because of there crap record last season, they have been seen as not being crap for next season. The truth is, they will start the season healthy, and hopefully keep it that way to have a stong season. They also have Deron Williams now, so they have passembled a great team. There are still issues about their depth, but Ostretag (sp?) will take care of that. haha (im being sarcastic about tht one).
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Swish15:</div><div class="quote_post">My selection for most underated team is the Cleveland Cavaliers. With the additions of Donyell Marshall and Larry Hughes and the resigning of Big Z this team is going to be good. They will suprise a lot of people in the playoffs and might make it to the Eastern Conference Finals if their team lives up to expectations.</div> Any team with Lebron James in it cannot be an underrated team. Just my .02 cents. Most underrated team would probably be the Bobcats, for all the reasons specified. Also the Hawks might actually raise some heads this year(they likely won't get out of the bottom 6-8, but they should be way better than last year, although that won't be hard) Their young talent is starting to develop and gain chemistry together and they could be a spoiler team towards the end of the year next year towards teams who have playoff hopes.
Lately, I have seen in a lot of people?s rankings for next year the Chicago Bulls being slept on. Simply because Indiana has there main players back, and a couple teams such as the Nets, Knicks, and others have improved in the eastern conference. Hell some people have even gone as far as ranking them 8th seed in the eastern conference?!? I guess a lot of people are forgetting that none of the main guys on this team have yet to hit the age of 25 (if you don?t count Andres). Though they have not landed a mark key free agent. The development alone of their young players means they are improving. True they did not take part in any five team 13 player trade, acquire a hall of fame coach, or dramatically altered there roster. However, at the same time they have quietly gone about handling their business. Signing Coach Scott Skiles to a four year extension Signing Eddie Basden a player they were rumored to be interested in trading into the draft to acquire Reportable expected to resign Tyson Chandler and Chris Duhon Targeting veterans to sign and bring into the fold As well as possibly bringing in Jason Williams should we lose Pargo to free agency Only real question with the roster right now is Eddy Curry, and even in that case we are running a one-person marathon for him. The only other team interested in signing him has already publicly stated they no longer have interested. He has already stated if needed he will play for the 5.4 one year qualifying offer to become an unrestricted free agent next off-season. Then Paxson has already said there is no way he will not make a decent offer to Curry, and just let him play for the minimum should he not get an offer. I feel this team can make a run in their division, and the lowest they will finish in the east will be the 5th seed. Ben Gordon?s second season, Luol Deng returning healthy, Kirk Hinrich returning after playing out of his mind in the playoffs. There are so many story lines around this team and most of them are good.
Seattle, easily. ..and yes i'm a sonics fan, but it says something when a team has a dominant first half of the season, produces two allstars, wins it's division despite an injury plagued 2nd half of the year, and "steals" 2 games from the Spurs--playing without Rashard Lewis and Vlad Radmanovic no less. They had all the tools to beat the Spurs this past year but just got hit by the injury bug at the wrong time. Few analysts took them seriously, repeatedly touting their lack of a legitimate center.. Despite the wins and the success vs top tier teams.
the Clippers are very underrated. they put up a pretty good season last year. plus with s.livingston playing, they'll be better this year.
