In an interview today right now on TV that they are giving about the new contracts they signed. King is having Kyle and Sammy sign their new contracts on TV, but no green. He has also said that I am excited to have resigned Sammy and Kyle, but never mentioned Green. What's up with that? I thought he agreed to a 20 million-dollar deal.
Wow, Green tore his ACL in a pick up game and now the 76ers aren't going to resign him. This is very horrible horrible news.
Aah I missed it, how long was it a half an hour? <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Wow, Green tore his ACL in a pick up game and now the 76ers aren't going to resign him. Yes Dee Lynum reported he injured his leg, and will require surgery. The 76ers do not plan on resiging him until they see the extent on the injury. Many suspect it is a torn acl. This happened during a pick up game.
Tough break for the Sixers, now we will have to try to get Louis Williams mentally and physically ready to play some of Willie's minutes this season. But other then the Willie injury it's good to see Sam and Korver back.
Man what a bummer for Willie, especially in a little pick up game. But like C.K. said, we should try and get Lou ready to fill in Green`s shoes.
Maybe this is a blessing in disguise, and Louis Williams comes out and plays on rookie of the year type level.
Getting Louis Williams to play solid game would just be pipe dream. The guy has a lot of holes in his game and is really just a player that's going to be developed be Cheeks probably. Man, this is a really tough break for Green. I was really wanting him to break out this season where he might have been given good minutes instead of last year. The guy just can't catch a break. Anyways, I wish the best for him with his injury and hopefully Sixers will sign him. Heck, maybe this would even help us- this injury might scare other teams off so we might be able to sign him to a smaller and less expensive contract.

How can you make such of an opinion when you barely get to see him actually play, the 76ers didn't have a summer league and the only way you could actually see him play was threw the high school all American games and stuff. For all we know he could or could not be ready to play. But before you make such opinions on him you should at least wait until he is actually given the opportunity to play. Here is a quote from 76ers.com: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Samuel Dalembert and Kyle Korver re-signed with the 76ers on the first day that free agents could sign contracts. Willie Green's free agent contract was put on hold pending left knee surgery.</div>
wow, bad news for willie. i hope the sixers resign him. i dont think louis williams is ready to do much in the nba yet.

He's a highschooler taken out of the second round- how many of those type of guys actually contributed in their first season? Heck, Marvin Williams isn't even expected to contribute on Atlanta so I'm just saying that Williams is more than likely not to be that NBA ready. Both were drafted for potential. Take it for what its worth, like you said, none of us have actually seen him play yet aside from All-American games.
The signing with Green would have to wait until he passes the medical. And yes, all sources point that Green tore his ACL.
Wow...bad luck for Willie. I was expecting to see him perform in a Sixers uni this year and put up big numbers. Oh well, maybe he'll sign a one year contract with them and have a better season, and command greater money next year. That'll be good for him, but not the Sixers.
hey fella`s, i just spoke to a guy from another orum and he reckons that the green injury is a smokescreen and that 3 or 4 teams have offered better money than sixers and his agent has held up contract talks with this injury scare. look for willie to sign with the Utah Jazz in the next few weeks

I don't really care if Willie sign with Utah,King will match the offer or sign and trade him so we won't lose anything.

We could even do a sign and trade with Utah if we needed to, so I am not scared of Willie signing a deal with the Jazz.
That doesn't make any sense, a smokescreen? Green already came to an agreement with the 76ers on a contract; unless he is pulling some Carlos Boozer stuff I doubt that he has agreed to go somewhere else. Not to mention he is a restricted free agent, he can't just go sign with the Jazz, the 76ers would have a chance to match the offer.
