<div class="quote_poster">Quoting B-22:</div><div class="quote_post">That doesn't make any sense, a smokescreen? Green already came to an agreement with the 76ers on a contract; unless he is pulling some Carlos Boozer stuff I doubt that he has agreed to go somewhere else. Not to mention he is a restricted free agent, he can't just go sign with the Jazz, the 76ers would have a chance to match the offer.</div>
Another reason why it makes no sense is because he has already under gone the surgery. So no team GM with half a brain will offer him a big contract until they see how quickly he can return and the effects of the injury. Plus he needs to pass a physical in order to play anyhow. A smokescreen is unlikely the most he could get from any team right now would be the MLE, which would only pay him around a 5 million-dollar salary.
