That's confusing. So is this right?

    Miami: Antoine Walker/Jason Williams/James Posey/Andre Emmett
    Boston: Qyntel Woods/Curtis Borchardt/Albert Miralles/1.9 Trade Exception
    Memphis: Eddie Jones/Raul Lopez
    Utah: Greg Ostertag
    New Orleans: Kirk Snyder/Rasual Butler

    Miami still kills that deal.

Celtics Receive - Qyntel Woods, Rights to Spanish center Albert Miralles, Heat's $1.9 million TE, Curtis Borchardt

Heat Receive - Antoine Walker, James Posey, Jason Williams, Andre Emmett

Grizzlies Receive - Eddie Jones, Rasual Butler

Then the Grizzlies would send Kirk Snyder and Rasual Butler to New Orleans, but it does not mention for who.

I just noticed, who does New Orleans give up in that deal?

Something still doesn't seem right. The Grizzlies are now giving up way too much. They're giving away almost two or three times the value of what they're getting back.

New Orleans not giving up anything, Memphis giving up too much, and the Heat get the best from everyone for nothing in return.

I'm not buying it until it's from a more credible source.

I agree. It's almost like Memphis are giving away one of their best players for nothing. Boston isn't getting anything to great in return either.

I don't get why the Heat have to acquire Walker via sign and trade and give up Woods, Albert Miralles, and their $1.9 million TE when they can sign him with their MLE. It's not like their are other FA's out there who would be worth the MLE of part of it for the Heat.

BTW won't the Celtics be using their MLE on Walker since they dont own any of his rights?

This whole scenerio is confusing. The Grizzlies give up a ton of talent to acquire Eddie Jones. The Hornets give up nothing for Butler and Snyder. The only way this would make sense is if Magloire went to Memphis.

Oh well, I don't understand any of this nonsense, and I don't see why about half these teams would make this deal. Maybe there's more to it than I know.

Well, Wodds isn't that great but the big thing for me was the Heat not having to give up any big players or promising guys like Dorrell Wright.

I don't get why Utah wants Ostertag so much and wants to give up 3 young players who still have some potential left in them. It's weird, plus with the Grizzlies giving up so much and recieving so little...

I really think this is some sort of assumption or trade idea from ESPN, I see a trade similar to this going down, but not so lopsided.

That's actually an AP article , so it would be the Associated Press' trade idea.

    Do they do those?

Can we go back to saying the C's will get Watson and Wright? Is it too late for that?

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Ignignot:</div><div class="quote_post">Can we go back to saying the C's will get Watson and Wright? Is it too late for that?</div>Is it really that bad? We're losing nothing. Walker is unrestricted and we could have lost him to free agency and got zip.

Instead we'll get a rumored 5.5 million in trade exceptions(via FSNE), which may prove to be very valuable at a later date. The players we get in return are junk, but Woods will most likely be waived with no cap hit. Borchardt is a decent big man to pick up for nothing, too.

We can't really complain about getting something for nothing.

All I know is that I read on ESPN that Damon Stoudamire was a Memphis Grizzly, and he's not a Memphis Grizzly. With so many conflicting reports, no, I don't trust the AP nor ESPN. I'll believe it when I see it on the NBA's official website.

    I don't think so.

That Damon rumor was only a rumor, and it was a rumor from RealGM and a Houston Newspaper. I never saw an AP article that said anything about Damon definitely going to Memphis. So I have no idea what you're even rambling on about.

Besides, go to NBA.com and look under "NBA Headlines". There it is right there for you...

Yes, ESPN had that story on their website.

And I went to the NBA.Com website, and it still says "proposed". Until it is "official", don't tell me I'm rambling on about nothing.

The bottom line is that you can't take trust many media sources, especially with a deal as bizarre as this.

But I can't take the credit for that quote, though. It was Robert who said that in the Sonics forum.
