I see people already saying well look at the lakers 03/04..plz First of all 03/04 Lakers had KOBE AND SHAQ...ENEMIES Heat have WADE AND SHAQ.....Best Friends Also karl malone was old, always injured...so he couldnt help lakers that much. Payton was very old and didnt understand the triangle offense and got owned by almost every other point guard. Now J-will talented PG and unlike payton at the time WILLIAMS=premiere point guard Payton with lakers.....oldie And also now we got POSEY!! and with Walker coming we have 3 amazing PF's in Walker, Haslem, and Simien I think people should stop hatin and admit that our MIAAAAAAMIII HEAAAAAT are the ****.

I know I dont.The reason being is the way the Heat acquired their players was legit.The way the Lakers acquired there players was low.Heat did it through trades.Lakers did it because the greedy lil has been players that joined were greedy for a title and the city of LA is one of the biggest.
The reason that this team is compared to the Lakers of a few seasons back is because there were problems getting everyone to comply in the system and determining who should be taking however many shots. The same problem could happen with this team, face the facts; Walker and Williams are known to chuck up a ton of shots and without a Phil Jackson there to keep everyone in check I dont know if the Heat will have the chemistry that it would take to win some championships. I know I'll probably never get through to you (bandwagon) Heat fans because last season you guys kept on talking and talking and once you were sent fishing you blamed players and injuries for the loss. Dont start complaining because people are giving their opinion either because all of the other members of the board had to put up with you guys ripping on the Pistons for quite a while.
Comparing the starting 5 of those teams is valid, but it stops there. After Shaq, Kobe, Payton, & Malone, the talent level was laughable. This Miami Heat team has stars to go along with a deep bench.
Yea a lot of poeple bashed the heat's bench saying it had a lack of depth which is understandable. This trade not only adds stars but as Shape city said more depth to the bench. Tione will most likely be the 6 man because Haslem and Poseys defensive skills are important because Eddie Jones is gone. The bench will look like Damon Jones if he resigns, Zo, Toine, Dorrell, Doleac, Leitner, Simien. So that's looks like one of the best benches out there. You can't compare this team to the Lakers, because the Lakers had no chemistry from the start. At least Shaq Wade and Haslem will co-exist well. The new guys will find their way into the mix as well.
