<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">As he finished answering a question about returning to the 76ers, Samuel Dalembert reached out with his right hand, wrapped it around the shoulder of president and general manager Billy King, pulled King toward him, and said: "I feel the love, man." The 6-foot-11 Dalembert got lots of love from the Sixers in the contract he signed yesterday, a reported $64 million over six years. But he said he didn't always feel that love last season. It was no secret that Dalembert was not the biggest fan of former coach Jim O'Brien, who played a defensive system that did not allow Dalembert to roam free inside to block shots. "I have nothing against Jim O'Brien," Dalembert said yesterday. "It's just that I never understood all his plans." Dalembert said he would have wanted to switch teams had O'Brien, who was fired on May 23, still been in charge, even though that would have been difficult because he was a restricted free agent. That gave the Sixers the right to match any offer. But Dalembert, who canceled a trip to Atlanta after the Sixers reached a contract agreement with him on July 23, said he wanted to stay. "I'm loyal," he said. "For me, I really didn't care about the money at some point. I just cared about where I'm going to be loved for the next five or six years. Here, I know what type of people I'm dealing with."</div> link:http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/sports/12287665.htm well, it's good to see him happy. hopefully he will put up big numbers next year.
Ya, Samuel is great and loaded with potential, he can block shots and excite the croud putting down those alleyoops from AI.
Good news, you always like to see a player happy after signing a contract (unlike another Philadelphia player). I hope he can put up some big numbers next year and have a breakout year, make this signing worth wild.

Well I was actually watching the interview live yesterday when he made these comments about JO, and honestly I was very surprised. I always new it was very publicly televised that Green, Webber, and a few other players disliked O?Brien, but I never thought Sammy was one of those. It has become painfully obvious why O?Brien was fired this last week. With Iverson?s comments about how everyone now enjoys going to work to Dalembert?s comments about possibly not returning if O?Brien was coach. I?m glad he is gone, because I honestly feel like Cheeks was the perfect coach for us since Brown left. Unfortunately, we had to go through JO, Ayers, and Ford before the Blazers finally let Cheeks go. I was extremely disappointed when we were not granted permission to talk to him a few years ago.
