What do you think should be Ainge's next move in the offseason?

    Land Earl Watson?

I don't know if that's in his range, but if they have a weakness, it's the PG spot. I like Banks and West but to me, they're both more of backup PG's.

^^Agreed....i think in the future they both can be starters but right now no....our 2 weakest positions are center and point gaurd.....id liek to see us land watson or maybe even van exel who portland just released.....and maybe ever lorenz wright from the griz to help fill the void at center..

Landing Watson would be great if he is in their price range.

To adress our PG problem, i think the solution is Marco Jaric last season he averaged 9 points and 6 assists, I def. would not mind him helping us out at the PG position.

Im not sure if he is affordable but he has better stats then Watson and is a pretty good PG.

Watson back up JWill last year and plays good d. Jaric is good but not what we need. I'd sign Watson with the TE from the trade.

Oh ya, lol srry i tottaly forgot about J-will on the grizzlies(since the trade), my bad but i still think Jaric would be a pretty good adition, i mean this guy is solid he can give you points, assists, and rebounds.

I would prefer to get watson, but Jaric has nice height and could abuse smaller guards.

You said it yourself Jaric with his height would abuse other point guards, also he can help us out rebounding.

Just because he's taller doesn't mean hes a better point guard. Watson is great at defense and I would like to see what he can do with starter mintues.

Yes Jaric did start..I have more confidence in a guy thats proven himself in his early years then a guy who played good in his minutes but hasnt reallly shown what he could do yet. Also Jarics height would be huge for us he will abuse the PG defending him, and the fact that he can help us out rebounding would be great.

I would prefer Jaric over Watson. Why do we need with another 6-1 pg? Jaric is a legit 6-6, 6-7 pg and has proven to be an effective NBA starter. I cant say the same for Watson who still has not proven himself to be more than a backup. My only problem with Jaric is that he is injury prone. I just dont want Ainge to make a hasty decision that we would regret in the future. For example, we should not sign someone if he is not an upgrade over what we already have. Then we would be stuck with a player for a couple years, wasting time and money at the end of the bench.

Id rather have watson...watson plays at an uptempo pace and would fit well with the boston offense but jaric is a spot up half court type of point gaurd....not saying jaric isnt a well rounded starter but watson would fit the team better then jaric would and would want less money

^^ Yeah I hope Ainge doesn't sign one of these point guards to a long deal. it would probably just be better to see how banks and delonte develop, Then taking the risk on signing a point guard that may be injured. Especially Jaric since he is known to be injury prone.

Jaric could adjust to the uptempo, so thats not a problem.

And Jaric has started before, Watson hasnt, and Jaric being injury prone....we still have Banks, and Delonte who will do great.

The fact is Jaric has proven himself, Watson hasn't
Jaric is bigger and will abuse other point guards, Watson wont.
Jaric can help out our rebounding situation with his size, Watson wont
Ya Watson can help out on D, but we already have a similar PG in Banks and he can play agressive D and so can another guard Ricky D.

Jaric has a complete game and can help us more then Watson can.

Jaric is more expensive, isn't use to the celtics uptempo offense, and is very injury prone. While watson is use to the uptempo offense, would ask for less money, and is not as injury prone.

From what we both stated Jaric has more things to offer then Watson.
