it makes no sense...then there is no point of having an east and west conference...? and for the most part, you usually have more west teams than east teams with better records anyways...

sorry for baiting but it only seemed logical to me because hungi is always making ignorant posts about the Lakers. Hungi Boston was the third seed last year correct? They did have a better record than L.A correct? The playoff system is good the way it is in my eyes.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr.Wade:</div><div class="quote_post">^^ Nice playmaker lol.

Anywhoo, although I don't agree with the division leaders being the top 3 (although it's in every sport so deal with it), if they play a team with a better rec. in the playoffs they don't get homecourt. Settled.</div>

I like that idea. The structure of the NBA would fall apart if the top 16 teams in the reg season arei n the playoffs.

Mr.Wade's idea makes alot of sense to me because it doesn't compromise the marketability of the NBA structure yet it gives some reward to teams with better records.

Well, although this would bring a needed change to the NBA I don't see it happening.

    1. Lower ratings in some parts like SP said.

    2. Why would guys wanna watch in Boston and stuff when they know that if we stuck to the regular rules their team would be in there. (Just used Boston as an example sorry to all the fans.)

    3. The same teams would be in the playoffs every year. And that would be extremely boring.

wouldn't it be more boring if the teams were not evenly matched?

Not really. Lets say that you like the Hawks like I do. I would rather see them go in there and lose 4-0 to the Pistons them to not see them in the playoffs at all.

I'm not a fan of the three division winners getting the top 3 seeds, but I do like having seperate conferences. Even if a team in the East has a worse record than a team in the West, but gets in, that's just the way it goes.
