Pretty much all it says is that we signed him, no mention of Monta signing unfortunately. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/369...ick_chris_taft/
Good to know. If we signed Taft, surely we will sign Monta Ellis, unless he turns out like that PG from Cinci. I doubt it though. He seems like a good kid...

In hindsight we could have had Carlos Boozer... who promptly would pull what fellow 2nd rounder Arenas did when his contract was up or we'd lose Murphy.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Warriorfansnc93:</div><div class="quote_post">Yeah, thats him, his name slipped my mind...</div> He's pretty forgetabble. See the thing I was trying to get at is that the 2nd round non-guaranteed contracts were a joke before the new CBA because nobody could retain their 2nd round pick they drafted. Thank goodness there's more leverage in still keeping contracts unguaranteed, but with bird rights. This way we can keep Taft or Ellis and our other projects. I dunno Taft and Ellis could have been easily first rounders in a shallow draft like in 2000 or 2002. I hope we keep these guys, especially if we're doing open court play and we need a 6'10 power forward that can be like a Nene or an Amare Stoudamire in transition play.
