does anyone have any news on him? i really dont think he will be back, even though i want him back to play the third power forward off the bench, but since micheal bradley resigned, i think he will be taking the role. but anyways, does anyone know what's going on?

Seems like this guys is gonna go to NBDL or Europe or some other minor league.
Atleast I haven't heard anything about him and I don't want him back.I mean he had one good game and he was a starter the next game. :S

well, he isnt so bad, if he's the third power forward for the team. i think he brings energy for this team. in a couple of games i saw him play this season, i saw him constantly attacking the basket. plus, he's still young and there still is room for improvement.

I don?t think they will/should bring him back. When we had Ayers/Ford as head coach we had Zendon Hamilton who was just as good/ probably better than Josh Davis, and we let him sign with the Bucks instead of offering him a contract. He had a few good games early in the season, but when Webber came that signaled the end of that.

Let us never equate the NBDL with European leagues. And while we're at it, let's never make the mistake of thinking Europe is a minor league. I know it's off topic, and I apologize, but I'm starting to see this more and more, and it's a trend that should be squelched.

Davis won't be coming back. Nor should we bring him back. There's no room for him at powerforward position and even if he's young, he won't be able to develop with Webber taking a lot of the minutes. Also, he's way too small to ever play powerforward all that effectively and I think the only reason he was brought in last year was because he can shoot the three for O'Brien. He's easily replaceable and a lot of free agents are better than him. There's no point in resigning him.

Actually I live in Europe and didn't mean to say it but it was like 3 in the morning and I didn't really thing what I was writing so if you read it,put Europe in to the end of the sentence [IMG]

Its an educated guess or theory if you will. Josh Davis plays garbage minutes, isn't quick enough to play small forward, is undersized for powerforward, hasn't made any significant contributions, and Michael Bradley opted his player option (candidate for garbage minutes). All evidence leading up to Josh Davis not being resigned.

We have no choice in the matter. Bradley picked up his option should he have been a free agent of course we would not have resigned him. Honestly, neither really did much for this team in their time here. Josh had one 17 point game, but rather than that it was pretty much a wash. Neither was ever considered part of the 76ers long-term future.

I liked Davis and I thought he was a pretty good backup for us. Didn`t he start like 2-3 games for us and play pretty well. Hopefully Mo takes a good look at him for the future.
