Crazy trade rumor, that's all I think it is, a rumor. I don't think Garnett will be leaving Minnesota anytime soon, nor will Wallace or Wallace be leaving Detroit anytime soon. It makes sense that KG will be with Flip again but I think this has a 0% chance of happening.
That's a crazy rumor. I don't think McHale would trade Garnett for anyhting. I agree with C.K. that Garnett wants to reunite with Flip but I don't think it will happen.
i wouldnt do that trade if i were the pistons. first of all, they will ruin the team chemistry, and second of all, they will be losing out on two star players. one of them the defensive player of the year. plus, they would be giving away 2 first rounders. that's too much IMO.
Yeah I think that the Pistons are giving to much. Ben Wallace the DPOY, Sheed who can hype up the team any day of the week. And, then they are giving up 2 First Rounders. But, I don't know if I would count them or not, because the Pistons are going to be a top team still and their picks would be like high 20's. But, still they would have to get a PF. Who would play there Dice? I just don't think that he could be a starter.
It's from the Toronto Sun, they always make up some sort of BS. This trade would be bad for Detroit, because they lose 2 main guys, lose chemistry plus the 2 first rounders. KG would have to play PF, then who would play C on the Pistons? Darko? C'mon now.
I think this is a rumor, why would Detroit give up their "Great" starting line up, which is one of the best in the league? Also i don't think Kg's leaving the Timberwolves.
I doubt this deal is true but if I was the GM of the T'Wolves, I would be seriously consider accepting this offer.
Just so you guys know, this was also reported on a Detroit radio station.. So it's not total BS fabricated by the Toronto paper.
KG is a great player and all but he isnt going 2 fill Big Ben's shoes. Team leadership wise. Secondly, I doubt Dumars is going 2 change his team up especially if they went to the finals 2 years in a row.
I think i(as mentioend in the Sun article) was generated primarily because of Flip Saunders. But I wouldn't rule this rumour out. I think the details of the rumour are terrible, but I could see talk between the pistons and wolves about KG going to the Pistons(along with some cash and picks maybe) going down.
I would not put much weight into this rumor. It's easy to speculate reuniting Kevin Garnett with Flip Saunders, but I cannot see the Pistons shaking up their roster like this. They are still a top team in the East, and giving up two starters who work in the system, along with 2 future picks, for a 30 year old KG and his enormous contract is farfetched. It also does not make sense for the TWolves, it's great getting 4 players for KG, but Ben Wallace will be a free agent next summer and there's no guarantee he would re-sign with Minnesota.
Hey Shape who knows... They could have told Ben: Go Play this season and we will be you back up next year. That could happen.
I don't know why the pistons would do it, they would be losing in this trade even without including the picks.
Unless Joe Dumars is seriously considering starting Darko Milicic at centre for the sole reason of developing him, I don't see this deal happening.
not gonna happen. i can already say that. his contract is no where near done, and i thought he said himself he would never left.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting The Manchurian Candidate:</div><div class="quote_post">Hey Shape who knows... They could have told Ben: Go Play this season and we will be you back up next year. That could happen.</div> That almost sounds illegal I doubt that they made this personal agreement with Ben Wallace. It sounds quite unproffesional and very funny.
