Interesting, hard to believe tho, why is the story coming out of a Toronto paper first. I think that Espn would be the first on top of a trade this level even if it was just a rumor. But anyway, we shall see what happens.

God i hope this trade doesnt go through, i'd hate to see KG in detroit uniform. In my opinion its hard to see this benefiting Detriot. If you remember when detroit lost big ben through suspension everyone on the team said it wasnt the same and they weren't as successful. KG has played with Billups as well, and that didnt work out well did it?
Would be good for Twolves i think though.
I highly doubt this trade will go through, sounds absurd imo, but you never know.

Im not sure about this trade KG's amazing but the Pistons would be giving up their starting frontcourt for him.

I doubt this trade will happen, KG to detroit...??? I dont understand why Detroit would do this 2 first round picks and their 2 monsters down low for KG no way. IMO that would ruin everything.

at least this trade is realistic,i mean it's a trade that could some how make sense on the paper but i really, seriously doubt it to happen.

KG the big clibber,he has the wolf heart and unless he asks to be traded i don't see him out of the wolves. not to talk about what the fans will feel.

    just aint gonna happen.

As I said, I doubt its true, but if I were the GM of the T'Wolves, I would seriously consider accepting this offer.

Does this work out money wise? I don't know why a west team would want an undersized center, even one as awesome as Ben, in return for one of the top 5 players in the league. If anything, I would think the wolves would trade Garnett for younger guys, something to get the rebuilding started. I don't know about this trade.

It's not like the West has still Shaq or any other dominant center, so an undersized one wouldn't hurt much and Ben would be a big upgrade over Kandi.

Regarding wanting young guys, well I guess that's the reason for including 2 first round draft picks.

Regarding money wise, I haven't had a detailed look but with the new CBA, you only need to get within 25% of the contracts involved. Also the article mentions that there might be other players added to make it happen.

Regarding the rumor itself. Well, that's all there is, it's a rumor solely based on the fact that Flip is now coach of Detroit.

I don't think this is ever going to happen but it's an interesting scenario to think about.

I love KG. This is obviously false, but you have to admit.......that is an interesting deal.

    This is BS
I have already discussed this alot on another site, but I will say something quick:
This trade is unbelievably bad for both teams, and makes it so false it is comical. Do you think Garnett would fit in Detroit? Unless Flip remodled the whole team to incorporate KG into the leadeship role he needs to be in, which would be disastrous to the team.

Then Minnesota ends up with the Wallaces, which gets them absolutely nowhere. They lose their franchise player and leader and get a Rasheed that would more than likely not play as well due to the loss of Brown's guidance, and Ben may not perform the way he did in the Detroit team setup.

There is even more to be said, but it's wasted breath since this is 100% false. Do not get any more excited about this because its BS.
