<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Guard Damon Stoudamire on Friday signed a four-year contract with the Memphis Grizzlies, who traded Jason Williams and Bonzi Wells earlier this week. The 10-year veteran spent the past eight seasons in Portland. He is coming off his best season with the Trail Blazers, averaging 15.8 points and 5.7 assists and shooting 91.5 percent from the foul line. "Damon is an experienced veteran and proven leader on the court," said Jerry West, the Grizzlies' president of basketball operations. "We feel we have added a significant player to our team and know that he will help take us to a different level than where we are today."</div> Link
Thought he was coming to Houston, but I guess he wanted more money. He should be a great pick up for you, especially after losing Jwill
Damon is a great player from the 3 point line. Memphis will definatly have strong hopes of making the playoffs. He's somebody to take the pressure of Gasol with the three's. Miami lost out bigtime by letting him slip through their hands. They may regret this as I don't think they realise how important he was to them. He didn't require too many shots and took very few but scored a fair amount of points for his few shots. He was very efficent for them as Shaq and Wade were allowed to have the ball more. With the addition of Williams and Walker, they will have the ball less. Don't be suprised if Wade's or Shaq's stats start to decline.

And hopefully those 4 years he can finish with the Grizz. A nice signing and is perfect as a fill-in for J-Will.

I read "Damon Jones" instead of "Stoudamire" for some reason. I know Damon is with the Trailblazers Anyway, Stoudamire is similar to Jones with the way he plays. A good trade for the Grizzlies. I can't really say much apart from the fact that he can take some pressure of Pau Gasol! I've said most of the things he does well, when I was describing Damon Jones
