PG - Rafer "I'm a Panty-wearing *****" Alston (will probably be taken out after 2 minutes because he can't stop crying because he got shouted at my Big Papa Mitchell.

    SG - Jalen Rose
SF - Mo Pete aka Mr. Inconsistent
    PF - Chris Bosh
C - Rafael "OWWWWWWWT OFFFFFFFF SHAAAPE!!!!" Araujo --> he's going to be el saviour, the dude who's going to turn this franchise around...or so babcock thinks or toronto's scouts like to think...which i would like to mention - toronto has the worst scouts ever!!! how do they get info on players anyways, probably google or something... "ok...we need big man, likes basketball...OH, THIS ARAUJO GUY FROM BRAZIL HAS HIS OWN WEBPAGE, LET'S GET HIM"

Acutally, Hoffa looks like he lost at least 20~30 lbs looking at the pictures from the FIBA qualifying tournament.

It does look like "baby"(his nickname in Brazil) is lost some of his baby fat. I hope he has improved or we should trade him with another player to the hornets for Jamal Magloir... FINGERS CROSSED

Jamaal Magloire still wouldnt put this team in the playoffs. You need a star guard. Not a guard that gets paid 18 million or a AND1 Balla. I mean you need a Baron Davis type of guard to turn this team around.

I do like Hoffa though, I have been a fan since he came in the league. And, he will impress mark my words.

Baron Davis? He shoots way too many treys to be any of a help to Bosh & Co. He's just a more athletic version of Rafer Alston as far as his point guard skill is concerned. Doesn't Davis get paid close to $15 million as well? Say no to Baron Davis-like PG in Toronto Raptors uniform.

believe me Baron is better than anything the Raptors have. He would fit well, because is a leader and will be very well with Bosh.

I said that you all needed a player like that to get the fans back into this team and to get y'all into the playoffs. I didn't mean exactly Baron. Because to get Baron you would have to give up hella lot.

That's debatable, and you're underrating the Raptors' talent. Baron is a shoot-first point guard and we don't need any of that when we have Rafer Alston and Jalen Rose. Is ditching his team and faking an injury a part of being a leader? Because last time I checked, that's what he did to the Hornets.

We don't need Baron Davis. We don't want Baron Davis. You shouldn't be the one worrying about the Raptors making the playoffs because you have your own team to worry about: The Hawks.

just look what he's doing in GS, he's turning that team around. The team in NO wasn't commited to winning so he wanted out, it happens.

Yes, I'm sure the Warriors would give him up. But I agree he would be very well with Bosh.

Why do we need a player "like" Baron Davis?

Why couldn't Magloire put this team in the playoffs? Center is the only real posistion that we're lacking in. With a front court of rotation of just Bosh, CV and Magloire (you can add Hoffa there too) then we would have one of the top front court rotations in the league. We're not lacking at the SF spot, and the PG spot is solid as of now. The SG spot is average with Mo and Jalen alternating minutes (plus Jackson if we add him). Adding a big name PG won't help as much as acquiring a big in Magloire, because we lack at the Center posistion more than the Guard posistion.

One of the reasons Baron and the Warriors work so well together is that the team completely depends on Baron. He is expected to put the team on his back, so no one can criticize his shooting percentage and how long he holds the ball for. It works in GS, but it didn't work in NO, and with Bosh as our primary option I doubt he would work out here.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I do like Hoffa though, I have been a fan since he came in the league. </div>
Why? Maybe you like him in college or on the Brazilian team, but what has he done since he came in the league?

    <u>Opening Night Lineup:</u>
    Alston
    Peterson
    Rose
    Bosh
    Hoffa

Unless the Raps trade one of their starting swingman, I think this lineup will stick for most of the year. I don't see Graham winning a starting spot this early. Next year is a definite possibility, but I think this year he'll take the role of defensive stopper off of the bench. The only possible lineup change I see happening is CV playing in at the 3. But that is only if he really impresses and shows that he deserves it more than Peterson or Rose (most likely Peterson). I still doubt that Villanueva and Bosh will start at the frontcourt together. Mitchell might throw it out for small periods during games, but I think playing the 5 will take too much of a toll, physically, on both Villanueva or Bosh to work on a consistent basis.

    Opening Night:

    PG - Rafer Alston
    SG - Morris Peterson
    SF - Jalen Rose
    PF - Chris Bosh
    C - Rafael Araujo

I can see Graham working his way on the starting lineup but not Charlie simply because he'll have to play centre which is a tough challenge for him physically.

From those pictures, Hoffa looks a lot better in shape already. Anybody keeping up with him over the summer?
