Christie has been waived by Orlando. What do you guys think? He is definitely a JVG type player who shoot well and has outstanding perimeter defense. I think he is a really good upgrade over Wesley and brings us much needed size for our guards.

That being said, if we can sign him to an LLE (would he go for it?), I think we could then trade Wesley and one of our PG's for a a younger pass first PG (althgouh there aren't many out there). What do you guys think?

I can't stand his hand sign to his wife, he does it like every 3 secs, even when he didn't do anything, just running around the court he still does it..... [IMG]

lol, what does that hand sign have to do with anything? I think he's a great fit for us. I don't know anything about him wanting back in Sac, but if that's true, then I guess we got no chance. He is the perfect fit though.

Hmm I dunno, I too find him kind of annoying but I guess that doesn't really matter...I doubt he'll sign with us and if he did I have a gut feeling he won't be of much use to us, but I might still be a bit upset that he was traded to the Magic breaking up the Cuttino-Francis combo...

LOL. I don't know what it is, but something about him really irritates me. He wouldn't be a horrible a pick, but who knows........He's still a good defender so maybe he could play some valuable minutes.

haha yeah, He's decent skill wise, pretty good defender with a fair shooting touch, i guess it's not bad to have him (though i don;t think it's happening), but he is like on top of my list in terms of annoying hand gestures, swift does that cross arm bird thing, but i guess it'll be nice to see him does it now since he's on our team. i mean at least he only does it when he dunks, but DC does it evertime he runs up & down the court, he even does it when he's inbounding the ball, okay, you love your wife, we get it!!!

Christie would be okay, but the biggest beef I have with him, is the fact that he has shown in the past that he chokes in the clutch (of course everyone besides bibby and jackson pretty much choked in Sac Town)

i wouldn't mind him too much. He could be a sg and even back up sf when tmac gets tired. and he can do everything the rockets will ask him to.

I guess it's the hand gestures to his wife. The only way you should even acknowledge your wife in a game is if she's fine like Kobe's (haha). But Christie's is boo-boo, and he doesn't do enough to be makin signals.

    NO!

    reasons:

-we don't need another 30-something player in the backcourt
-he chokes in the clutch and in the playoffs
    -injuries, etc.. ?
-is he willing to take a much smaller role with the team?

Jackie Christie Refuses To Let Female Doctor Save Husband?s Life

SACRAMENTO--Jackie Christie, wife of NBA star Doug Christie, refused to let a female doctor save her husband?s life Saturday when he nearly choked to death during a dinner at the Pilothouse Restaurant in Sacramento. Christie frantically screamed for a doctor after her husband began gagging on a chicken bone, but when Clarissa Jordan, a 41-year-old female doctor, rushed to his aid, Christie grew agitated. She reportedly told Jordan to ?back off? even as Doug?s face turned purple and his breath came out in short, labored gasps.

Bystanders watched in horror as Jackie Christie calmly waited for a male patron to save her husband?s life. Luckily, Sanjay Mehta, a local medical student who was sitting at the bar in an adjacent room, was able to apply the Heimlich maneuver just in time to avert a tragedy. The chicken bone came up, and Jackie defended her decision not to let a female doctor save her husband.

?Miss Clarissa Jordan, or whatever her name is, came running over like a poodle in heat,? said Christie. ?I could tell she was lusting after my husband, which is why I wouldn?t let her near him. Sure, she?s a doctor, but that?s a great way to get her little tongue down my husband?s throat. Believe me, I?m no fool. Plus, my husband would never want a female doctor saving his life. He?d feel too guilty having another woman lay her hands on him. He?d rather die. I?m sure of it.?

wow....... I feel bad for him

Thats comedy. I wish that mehta guy didnt interfere, like to see christie dead and his wife like "whatever."

If christie is signing with teh mavs, that should mean finley is beingg realeased, or maybe they grabbed christie cause they were still thinking and he is for safety.

That's very funny news regarding Christie's overzealous wife, but I don't see how Doug Christie has anything to do with the Rockets now that he's signed by the Mavericks anyway.

    THREAD LOCKED.
