Person I know from another forum says he heard on the radio New Orleans is interested in getting JJ, since Atlanta hasn't reached a deal with Phoenix. Who could Phoenix get from NO? Possibly the the Bird Man? He would bring defense, rebounding, and depth to the bench, which Phoenix needs all 3 of.

Jim Jackson or Joe Johnson? [IMG] I don't see why Jim Jax would want to go there when he decided not to report to the team. Birdman just re-signed with the Hornets a anyways.

I doubt that Joe Johnson ends up in NO, but anything is possible. I'd want Magloire and Magloire only from the Hornets if I were the Suns. Chris Anderson is not enough.

Lol, Joe Johnson. I forgot Andersen just re-signed. Maybe David West, Kirk Snyder, and a lottery protected first round pick?

The offer would have to be much better then the Hawks offer because they would be shipping Joe Johnson to possibly a future contender in their own conference. Maybe a lottery protected pick and Maglorie for Johnson? Unless the Hornets want to trade West, Snyder, or Smith which I think won't happen. That Magloire trade is the only trade I can thikn of at this moment.

hmmm, this deal may not be so bad for JJ. He'll get to play with Paul and JR Smith which may not be so bad. That lineup could shape up to be very good in the future. Atlanta still sounds better because it will be easier to make the playoffs in the East.

i would not say that too soon! Indiana,Detroit,Miami,Cleveland,New Jersey, Chicago,Boston and Washington not as weak as it used to be in the past. the west looks to be more fragile this year. [IMG]

Hmm, maybe Joe Johnson for Speedy Claxton, Chris Anderson (both expiring) and a lottory protected first round pick. I guess it depends if Phoenix wants a TE and picks or some good players. Speedy provides a great back-up for Nash and Anderson adds depth and defense.

If I am the Suns I'm asking for J.R. Smith straight up.

And if I am the Hornets I am saying no straight up. For JR Smith the sky is the limit and I don't think the Hornets are going to be putting a price tag on him anytime soon for trades. He showed late last season that he is the Hornets future and it doesn't appear that the Hornets will trade him for Joe Johnson. If a first round pick would to be included by the Suns it would change some things but I still think the Hornets would decline.

Jamal and a 1st round pick sounds like a good deal. If I were the Hornets I would try to make it lottery protected possibly. I think the pick would be more or less compensation, because they are giving the Suns an all star center, but at the same time he might leave as a free agent after this upcoming season. That is why the first rounder would be required. If they want JR I would say no if I were the Hornets. If they trade JR they are losing a lot of talent in their backcourt. I would rather have a Paul, Smith, JJ, PJ, and someone lineup. Over a Paul, JJ, somebody, PJ, and Jamal lineup, because either way I feel Jamal is all but gone after this season so they lose two talented players, and one without compensation.

True, but these days GM's are to careless when trading players. It seems as if GM's just try and trade a player as quickly as possible instead of trading the player for the right deal. For instance, I know the Lakers could have gotten something better then Lamar Odom, Butler, Grant, and picks for the most dominant of all time. They should have not done a Shaq deal unless they got Wade back from MIA. I guess Joe Johnson for Magloire is good, but then they just got Kurt Thomas to play the center spot so that would basically just send Thomas to the bench.
