With the subtraction of Spree, I was hoping for more PT from Hassell, but it looks like now that there will be a rotation of a McCants, Szcerbiak, Wilkins and Hassell at the 2 and 3, with Wilkins and Hassell fighting for the bigger backup minutes. Should be interesting. He's a nice signing, but I think 5 years is a little lengthy for a SG that has not "proven" himself. Last year he filled in well for Shard, giving the Supes huge games, but that's half a season or so. If they were looking for a swingman, then I think a better option would be Devin Brown.
I haven't seen much of him. So far, I do like the fact that I hear he's a pretty good scorer and above average on Defense. I also like the fact that he's young so and I hear he has alot of heart. I don't know about the price of the contract, but if what I hear is true, I'm all for it.
