Didn?t want to post this in the normal forum, because it will turn into a dwelling thread about other players we have let go, but how bad do the Magic front office feel right now. They included Hunter in the Gooden trade as a filler now with Cato expiring soon, and Battie not being the greatest starter. I bet they would really want him back.
I'm not really that sure about Steven Hunter. He needs the right system to be productive and all he really is, is a shotblocking machine. But because he was always about getting blocks his help defense or team defense and rebounding wasn't that great, his FT are much below average and I don't think he is starting material. But I haven't really followed him last season with Phoenix.

If we still had Gooden, we could have moved Dwight to the center and it would have worked perfectly. We also gave up Anderson Varejao in that deal and he played well for Cleveland last year. He is a player who always hustles and gives 100%. So yeah, the Magic organization probably feels like crap after that decision but hey, what's new?
You're right about the trade. It was crap, we gave up too much to get Battie. He's good but not worth what we gave up, imho. But this isn't about the trade, this is about Steven Hunter not being around anymore. So, I don't think that management feels that bad about trading Steven Hunter in that trade, I guess they feel much more bad about other moves they made or including A. Varejao in that trade.
