look whats the big deal? Who cares if u like more than one team? Do you really care that much to make a thread complaining about it? It's our choice to like anoter team so don't make a big deal of it.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting 44Thrilla:</div><div class="quote_post">Do you not realize that you have Rafer Alston in your avatar? Sure, all those guys have done some stupid things, but what makes Skip supportable, and them not?</div>
Skip doesn't have the same cockyness of a Payton, Ricky Davis, Walker, Garnett, or Curry. He seems like a sincere guy, and has a true passion for the game. He doesn't play dirty, or harrass other players. Nor does he punch people to resolve issues. However I classify Skip as one of the nicer players in the nba.

Well of course you do, he's your favorite player.

And how can you get any nicer than a physical confrontation with coach Sam Mitchell in the locker room? If the rest of these punks in the NBA could be just like Alston, the world would be a better place.

dude, once again...another hissy fit from who else!? wow, you don't get it...a lot of people don't. i love the Raps because it's my hometown...I've liked Jalen Rose ever since he was in the Nuggets or having his epic battles against Michael Jordan when he was part of the Pacers...sure, i liked him a lot, but I never made the Nuggets, Pacers, Bulls my favourite team just because he played for those teams. I mean, what is this? I know people who...when their team loses, they switch to another team...then when their team starts winning again, they go back to that same team.

sure, you can cheer on players from another team because you like those particular players, but it doesn't mean you have to make that team another one of ur favourite teams. heck, i like to watch the spurs play, but you don't see me running around my block or all around toronto with a Spurs flag just because they won the championship.

let me tell you something...you people might like more than one team...but what's the glory in that? staying loyal to one team is like being in that family. i remember the first time toronto went to the post-season for the first time and i felt so alive...but how good does it feel when all 5 of ur favourite teams, which you so "pay attention" to all year long...definitely not as good as when that one team you've been following all ur life made it. and how good will it feel when that one team that you followed all ur life gets to win its first championship...definitely not the same as having 5 favourite teams..."oh, i don't care who wins between these two teams...theyre my FAVOURIIIIIIIIIIITE". think about that...but you know what, it's your choice and i won't cry or throw a whole hissy fit over this whole thing like this dude above me.

How can Rose be your favorite player when he was on the Pacers and not cheer for them? Didn't you want Jalen to do good, win a ring? Playmaker has said he has one main team which is the Heat the other ones are who his favorite player play for.

heh whatever, I'm not going even spend much time on this. I feel most players in the NBA are ungrateful and arrogant. Rafer is by no means perfect, he doesn't take constructive criticism well, which lead to difficulty with Mitchell. He is quite passionate for the game, and to me from what i've heard and read from him usually seems like a shy, and nice guy.

I have no motive to influence your opinion, so I'm not going to spend much more time debating this. We all have personal favourites unique to each person for unique reasons [IMG]

Sure, it would've been nice to see Rose get a ring...and I was cheering for the Pacers, but did i make them my favourite team? No.

I grew up in a household where the only team worth rooting for was the Celtics, and it's carried over. Likewise, I married the first girl I was in a serious relationship with.

Let's get one thing straight though, the C's were there first.

And aside from that pointless, tangential piece of trivia, I have never rooted for any other team. I even have a hard time rooting against teams that knock them out of the playoffs. The thing is, I've never known any other way. Since coming to this forum, I have begun to find myself a little more familiar and interested in other teams. Rather than fight it, as some seem to, I have embraced it, and it's made basketball and viewership a little more enriching.

    Thanks justbball.com!

(That was only half-joking at the end there.)

    I agree.

I used to have friends who'd be Bulls and Lakers fans. When Jordan left the Bulls, they started cheering for Huston (when they won the title)....then Bulls again when Jordan returned. As soon as Detroit lost this year....they became "Spurs fans".

Just a bunch of glory hunters. They ain't real fans....just spectators. Forget them.

I LIKE the Spurs and cheered for them in the Final. But they ain't my team. I know this cause as soon as Manu leaves....ALL of San Antonio could go under for all I care.

Those people are called bandwagoners, they jump on "bandwagons" for whichever team is doing very good, or has a new superstar. I don't consider them real fans at all, because they switch their favourite team every couple months or year.

Yeah I know. And the worst part is that when their "team" wins they go off and either a) Celebrate or [IMG] Rub it in your face. (It's like "Dude wtf......this is your 8th fave team this month.")

And about Rafer.........I hope Calderon rips his spot from under his ass. (which he will). Rafer's counting down his weeks and he knows it.

Man you guys lived in different places or whatsoever, that gives you no excuse to route for other teams. I have lived in vancouver(back when grizzs' were there), toronto, and Los angelos, but you dont see me routing for all those teams. Raptors are the only team I will ever like.
