Ostertag is back, Sloan is praising Boozers low body fat - seems all is happy in Utah. On the other hand, I have received more emails asking about the status of a Boozer to Dallas trade rumor over the last 24 hours than I have received about Boozer his entire career. There is enough buzz about the Boozer rumors that it would be difficult to believe the Jazz aren't atleast exploring the possibilities of moving him. Many sources are claiming Harpring is being shopped as well which is more difficult to believe. I wouldn't expect Harpring to be involved unless the Jazz were able to bring in a true star like Paul Pierce (unlikely). The rumored deal with Dallas hasn't leaked the players involved yet but a quick glimpse at salaries would imply some combination of Dampier and Terry for Boozer and Harpring (again, I find it hard to believe Harp would be moved in this deal). More info will be posted as it becomes available.(article from Nba Wire)

I'm sure there are a lot of inquries about Carlos Boozer from teams. I wouldn't consider him "untouchable" in Utah, and I'm sure if the right deal came around, the Jazz would unload him. The Mavs would be a great fit, because they need a workhorse in the paint. Boozer is knocked for being undersized, but he plays bigger than 6-8 and more than holds his own in the post.

I don't think Dampier & Terry makes any sense for the Jazz, since Dampier has a long, ugly contract. I think the Jazz would want some expiring contracts or young talent if they traded Boozer. I would imagine players like Josh Howard or Marquis Daniels would be necessary for the Mavs to acquire Boozer.

Seems kind of weird. This would mean Dirk would have to play the 3 or 5 I guess. I wouldn't trade Josh Howard in any deal to acquire Boozer. I personally think Josh Howard is going to be a very good player in the NBA, not an all-star player, but similar to the stardom of Maggette. Although Boozer would help in the rebounding department, and be an upgrade defensively at the 4 (even though he's not that good), Howard would solidify the 3 spot for a while for the Mavs. Avery Johnson wants the team to become defensively, but putting Boozer and Dirk on there front court won't help.

i'd like Boozer to stick to Utah, along with Kirilenko...and now they have a great young PG in Deron Williams to set the plays. I am excited for this team...

Just wondering, not critising, but what were Boozer's Rebound and Block averages?

Boozer averaged 9 RPG and less than a half of a block per in an injury plauged season. The year that got him his juicy contract was an 11 rebound, .75 block season. He can bang, and he sure can rebound, but being undersized limits his ability as a shot blocker. As a mavs fan, I don't know how he would fit in, but he would be a welcome addition for the right package. The mavs, even with the addition of Dampier, don't have a consistent low-post offensive threat. I personally don't want to see any of the young, athletic guys leave the Mavs because that seems to be the future of this team. IMO I believe this isn't going to happen but who knows. For Cuban this HAS been a pretty boring offseason
