<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The defending Northwest Division Champion Seattle SuperSonics will tip off their 2005-06 regular season at KeyArena on Wednesday, Nov. 2 when they host the Los Angeles Clippers. The Sonics will then entertain former long-time assistant coach Dwane Casey and his Minnesota Timberwolves in the second game of the season on Nov. 4. Following its first two home games, Seattle will embark on a six-game road trip, the team?s longest of the season, that begins in Memphis on Nov. 8.

Other highlights of this year?s home schedule include former Sonics Head Coach Nate McMillan?s return to Seattle with the Portland Trail Blazers on Jan. 30. The Trail Blazers also play in Seattle on April 2. The defending NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs make their only visit to KeyArena on March 26. The Eastern Conference champion Detroit Pistons come to Seattle on March 3. Shaquille O?Neal and the Miami Heat visit KeyArena on Jan. 13.

The Sonics are scheduled to appear on national television 17 times in the 2005-06 NBA season ? four times on ESPN, seven times on TNT, five times on NBA-TV and once on ABC.

The Sonics local television schedule with broadcast partner FSN ? featuring the broadcast team of Kevin Calabro, Craig Ehlo, Brian Davis and Lenny Wilkens ? will be released later this month. Again this season, FSN will televise a minimum of 70 Sonics games with FSN Live airing before and after each game. Sonics All Access and other Sonics programming will also air throughout the season. </div>

Got to love our February schedule. 14 games in 28 days (with the All-Star Break between 2/16-2/20) with 10 of those games on the road. Glad to see the scheduling committee looking out for us.

We kicked arse on the road last season, maybe they just wanted to make things a bit harder this time around.
