Wonder what the Jazz feel about Radmanovic. Wonder if they would bite on a re-signed Vlade, Danny F, Reggie Evans trade. Wonder if we are going to do anything at all.

Sign and trade Vlad for Marquis Daniels, then trade Flip to the Bobcats for some 2nds or a future first (lotto-protected for a few years, maybe).

Or Flip and a second rounder for Bogans.

Daniels takes AD's role, Bogans backs up Lew.

Sonics are booooooring, I hate having so many restricted free agents. No team wants their money tied up for a week, and no player wants to re-up without seeing what's on the market for as long as possible.

I already know the answer to this - but would you ever consider trading Danny Fortson to the Celtics for Mark Blount and a pick?

Don't give up the ghost yet buddy. Danny has plans for his man. And Fortson's done his time in Boston, that man would be demanding a trade before the plane landed.

Don't be ridiculous. A plane couldn't take off with Danny on it, much less land.

Good point, that man could move a mountain if it had a jelly roll on top of it. I definitely enjoyed watching him bash people around when he was in Boston, but I think I could stand to watch him ooze around the court and bash people around in Seattle instead.

I never really saw Bogans' appeal.. Solid guy I guess but I'd rather have a veteran with playoff experience replacing the one we lost. Ditto for Marquis Daniels.. He seems to me like a guy who is built for Dallas' game, I don't know if he'd do so well in Seattle? I'm a big fan of him though, and wouldnt really mind picking him up, though trading Vlad is pretty expensive. Regardless of whether or not he threatens to bail after next year, we could probably get a big man for him.

I reckon Marquis would fit coach Weiss' predicted up-tempo game pretty well. He's really versatile and can get up the floor in a hurry. Can play both guard spots a lot more effectively than Flip.

I just don't see a sign and trade involving Vlad, because if he's knocking back 6/42 from management, what team is going to take more than that on board to acquire him?

At this point I think we should just look to signing all of our restricted free agents--with the exception of D. Wilkins who is getting offered a tremendous amount of money for someone who was effective in a third of a season--and try our best to use our midlevel exception to get a defensive oriented center.

If our restricted free agents don't want to sign here we could use them as trade bait or just sign them to a qualifying offer. Either way we can't afford to give up on Vlad, Flip, and Reggie without getting compensation. These dudes may feel slighted b/c they are not priorities with management but as a restricted free agent most likely you aren't going to be a priority.

I just find it interesting when mostly everyone in this forum was touting Flip as one of the top three players on this roster last season and now are these same people are declaring every guard on the market better than him. Why? Because he didn't prosper in a situation where he wasn't given a honest opportunity.

Mark it down everyone--this is my last post about Flip until the season begins. I am tired of arguing w/ the haters in this forum.

I'm not sure why the Jazz soured on Boozer so fast. He played pretty well except for some injuries from what I can remember. And he absolutely killed the Supes last season, we had no one that could guard him.

Maybe they were expecting a young Karl Malone, or maybe he had some attitude issues I don't know. But if he's available I say we make a play for him and definitely offer up Vlad and a pick or something.

I think he's making 10-11 million a year and Vlade wants 9 so the salaries are close [IMG]

^ Yeah Boozer is pretty nice, he has a very midrange jumper also. That would be cool if we can trade Vlad for him. We would have a very consistent inside scorer and rebounder.

I haven't seen any Flip haters...at least lately. I think there is just a lot of feeling that Flip and Ray aren't going to play well on a team. Flip excelled in PLACE of Ray...but they haven't yet gelled together. If I thought Flip would step in and be the AD for the season (would mean changing his game, but he is the only one on the current roster who could pull it off) I would not be looking for a trade. I think he will do really well somewhere else, but would like to get something for a player of his caliber.

In regards to Boozer, can he play D?

He is a very good rebounder and very smart offensive player, but by acquiring him and losing Reggie, you not only lose a fair bit at one end of the court, you are also basically subjecting Nick to become a centre longterm.

I am certainly not hatin'. I am NOT a big flip fan, but I belive if we want anything in return in trade, it is Radman to go, leaving flip as our only scoring option off the bench.

RE is my favorite player on the sonics, but I included him in the trade I proposed, and not flip, because I believe it would be best for the team.

Do I think Ronnie can be ADs replacement? no, but we could do alot worse.

One thing to consider - if we got Boozer, it would stop him killing the Supes. Anyone remember the 32/20 game where they beat us without LeBron and Z? Or the 36/15 OT game last season when Vlad bailed us out?

Speaking of Cleveland vs Seattle, this was bizarre.

That's true about relegating Nick to the 5, I hadn't thought of that. I guess I think of Nick being at best as a 15-9 kind of guy, whereas Boozer is 20-10 already.

Nowadays it's not a huge deal except when you play Shaquille or Yao, but it's definitely something to consider, don't want to stifle Nick's development.

And what's so strange about that box score? I couldn't tell from glancing at it....

Look at Calvin Booth's stat line. It doesn't get more bizarre than that.

I see. At first I thought it was Vlad's double figure boards [IMG]
