    Kobe and JJones for guards
    George and Odom for Fowards
    Mihm at center.

Don't worry, I wouldn't take that lineup too seriously. I don't think we aquired Kwame Brown for him to come off the bench for 15mins. If Derek Anderson signs, then the lineup will most likely look like this:

    PG-Derek Anderson
    SG-Kobe Bryant
    SF-Lamar Odom
    PF-Kwame Brown
    C-Chris Mihm

Although, I would like to see Jumaine Jones starting or getting more playing time. According to 82games.com, we were most effective when are lineup was "Atkins-Bryant-Jones-Odom-Cook."

[IMG] [IMG] yea, JJones and George are going to start. Even if there was no PG right now, I'd rather start Odom at point, and JJones at SF or something as opposed to what they have.

wow! that's really messed up. what about kwame? if that is going to be our starting line up, which it wont, then we have some serious problems.

That's a horrible lineup. I think that's the worst starting lineup NBA.COM could come up with. I think the lineup will be Derek Anderson, Kobe, Odom, Kwame, and Mihm just like everybody else.

Who do you think out point will be if Derek Anderson doesn't come to LA? I hope its a big player. Somebody about 6'5 that can handle the ball. We need a natural PG, but if we can't find one, I wouldn't mind putting 6'8 Jumaine Jone's in.

Personally I think having Walton be starting PG would be a stroke of genius...Big gaurd, amazing handles for his size, great passing ability, team player, can shoot the three. If sh*t hits the fan and we don't get DA then our lineup could be this:

    PG- Walton
    SG- Bryant
    SF- Odom
    PF- Brown
    C- Mihm

A very solid lineup if you ask me. The two guys (Kobe and Walton) that would be handling the ball the most are experts in the triangle and could get everybody on the same page.

Luke Walton as PG?? I've always had the impression he was a 6-8 foward, with limited handles and inconsistent range on his shot. I HIGHLY doubt Walton can play guard, let alone point. [IMG]

I think if we don't get a starting PG by the time the season roles around, Lamar Odom will be running the show. I do think though, that Derek Anderson will be a Laker. In the worst cast scenerio, I see our lineup w/out Anderson being:

    PG- Odom
    SG - Kobe
    SF - Jones
    PF - Kwame
    C - Mihm

In case you didn't see the Playoff game against the spurs...game 5 two years ago (the one we wont with .4 seconds left) Walton came in the third qtr and put up 8 points 7 rbs and 4 assits in 13 minutes. He has handles, cant shoot the midrange, but can shoot the three...and you are right he is a 6-8 forward lol, but he can pass like crazy. To the people suggesting Odom run the point...it would work...but that would take Odom out of his game. When was the last time you saw the PG run the break, slow the ball down and then start to post up his man, take a few dribbles to his left and then throw up a hook/ floater? Thats Odoms move and it would just do wonders for the offense.....(that was completely sarcastic)

The problem with Odom at PG, takes him out of position to rebound. Sad to say, but he is the best rebounder on the team still. I think Odom will be a monster playing SF this season because he creates a lot of mismatches at the 3.

Derek Anderson completed his workout, however I didn't read any comments expressing much interest in him. I'm not sure if he did enough to impress the Lakers, or maybe they are keeping it 'hush-hush' so another team doesn't come in and outbid the Lakers.

Any news on Lue or Pargo coming in for workouts? What about the rumor of J.Rose being waived by the Raps? I still think J.Rose will be the perfect fit for the Lakers and the triangle. A Kobe/Rose backcourt will be SICK

Yeah- I haven't heard anything about DA comin to LA. I know he worked out but not much has happened so far. What I read was LA wasn't tryin to offer him the full MLE. Hopefully the two sides can get close enough because I would hate to see a couple hundred Grand get in the way of this deal.

I've heard that the Lakers weren't thoroughly impressed with Anderson's workout and are reluctant to offer him the full MLE. I think they want to split it on him and Ty Lue or Pargo, it's just a gut feeling.

Couple thought's on this...The Lakers shouldn't base their decision off his workout. Everyone has off days, especially in the middle of summer when he's not conditioned. Secondly...I can't beleive DA wants the whole MLE- can someone write him a memo and let him kno he'w also getting just shy of $10 million from portland?
