Heard he was on the block. I like his game. I think he's a SF, so that makes him even more attractive. Can shoot, post up, rebound, and play some serious defense. Do you think Carol Dawson can pull it off?
His contract expires next season, so i dont know if dawson can really offer him anything that they would want. David wesley is a possibility, but you cant say he is much better than harpring. The Jazz are probably going to package him in a deal including boozer. Anyways, the jazz called the rumor an "absolute lie"
Harpring was a very very solid player in the 03-04 season. I know because I had him in my fantasy team. Shoots high percentage, defends, rebounds, but he has been injury plagued this year (I think) and I don't know if he's on a sharp decline or not. However, if we can trade him for Wesley or weatherspoon I'd do it in a heartbeat.
Yes harpring would be a great addition to our team. He does everything yall said he does and he has a great attitude and work ethic. The only concern is that he has been injury prone. But he would still be a solid player.
well a trade of harpring for wesley straight-up works cap wise, and I would definitely pull the trigger on that deal if I was Houston...Harpring is a JVG type player who rebounds, defends and is tough as nails...Wesley would give the Jazz a solid defender who can shoot the ball...I think this would be a good deal for both squiads, especially us ....
If Harpring is indeed on the market, then I see nothing wrong in pursuing him. He's consistent and can do a bit of everything, although he's not great at any. Getting him would give us a big backcourt and would add to the defensive system Van Gundy has in place. However, it's not really likely that Harpring will be on the block at all.
