Who should it be? Who starts at SF and who starts at PF? SF: James Posey Dorell Wright PF: Antoine Walker Udonis Haslem C: Shaquille O'Neal Alonzo Mourning
James Posey at SF and Udonis Haslem at PF. The lineup is already loaded on offense, but with Haslem and Posey we get two very good defenders, and have Toine come off the bench providing offense help. Dorrell will get his share of minutes, but he must show that he can play at this level, if not I see his stay in Miami being a short one.

We have enough offense in our starting lineup and we don't need Walker taking shots away from Shaq and Wade
Yeh, I think bringing Toine off the bench is better. We'll see if Toine is willing to take a step back and let Haslem start. Obviously I think it's better that Haslem starts, I think the team will do better. The last thing you want to do is start the game with Toine jakking up 3's.
Also when Toine is in the game I don't think Wade will be in because there won't be enough shots to go around. I think it's better for Toine to play with Shaq on the floor because then he will get those open looks from beyond the arc.

I can come in and just play ball, just be versatile. Rebound, pass, score ? whatever it calls for that night.''</div> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Wed Aug 3 2005 - The Miami Herald is reporting that the Heat may not be done with moves yet. The Heat would like to see Antoine Walker come off the bench, which means they still need a starting small forward. If James Posey is truly healthy, he could get the call, but the Heat still have their $5 million midlevel exception left and it sounds like they may be hunting for a small forward. We find it hard to believe 'Toine is going to be cool with coming off the bench, but stranger things have happened. Like five-team deals for 13 different players.</div> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Wed Aug 3 2005 - Celtics trade Antoine Walker to the Heat in a five-team trade between Miami, Memphis, New Orleans, Utah and Boston. The deal is too big to breakdown in this setting, but there are five teams and 13 players involved, making it the largest deal in NBA history. In summary, the Heat get Walker (who will start at small forward), point guard Jason Williams, forward James Posey, guard Andre Emmett and the rights to Roberto Duenas. They give up Eddie Jones, Rasual Butler, Qyntel Woods, draft rights to Albert Miralles, two second-round picks and cash. The Heat's starting lienup should look like Damon Jones/Jason Williams at PG, Dwyane Wade at SG, Walker at SF, Udonis Haslem at PF and Shaquille O'Neal at C. Williams will be the starting point guard if Damon Jones doesn't re-sign with the Heat.</div> <div align="center">Source</div> As you see from the article dates at first he was expected to start, but now that appears to be a long shot. Barring the health of James Posey.
I think we should have Zo at PF and Posey/Haslem at SF. Shaq at C. We need more defense! Zo is a great defensive player.
SF: James Posey Backup: Antione Walker PF: Udonis Haslem Backup: Antoine Walker C: Shaquille O'Neal Backup: Alonzo Mourning Walker will still be getting about 30 MPG anyways....
I highly doubt Antione will be a back-up. The Heat are paying him something like 6 million a year (?), he isn't going to back up Udonis Haslem of all PFs, nothing against Haslem but he wouldn't start on any other team in the league but he will be a great hustle guy off the bench. Posey is pretty much guaranteed a starting job to replace Eddie Jones' defense, JWill also has no competition as of yet and is a good playmaker (great assist-turnover ratio) when he isnt chucking up 3s.

I want Posey starting at SF and Haslem at PF Walker can back up either of those. Then of course Zo backing up Shaq.
