I'm also anticipating Odom playing minutes at PF, and Kwame at C. However, like the old Wendy's commercial used to ask "Where's the beef?"

The Lakers have a lot of tall, lanky, athletic bigs, but no anchor on the inside to clog up the middle. Slava is a solid 6-10, 250, eventhough he generally plays like a SF. However, under PJax he threw his body around a lot more and was a decent rebounder when PJax lit some fire under him. He's not a good player, but still he's better than nothing (I can't believe I just defended Slava.)

Trading for Rose should be a worst-case-scenario for the Lakers at this point. There are still better options out there including the aforementioned Earl Watson and DA. I'd love to see the Lakers actually get both of them to agree to sharing the MLE next season. Then add some bulk with Jahidi White, Calvin Booth, Alan Henderson, or Tractor Traylor for the LLE.
