Their noblest aspirations, however, have resulted in Marc Jackson, Jeff McInnis and a few other guys, who arent likely to strike fear in hearts of opponents.

But he looked back over the past five weeks of roster building Rod Thorn would like to remind you that the Nets are still positioned where they want to be, even if Jackson doesnt have Abdur-Rahim's cachet.</div></div>

It seems from this Article and the quotes Thorn made in them that there wont be anymore significant moves this offseason. His targets now seem to be Aaron McKie and Austin Croshere. Truely dissappointing as a Nets fan. I have alot of respect for Aaron Mckie over the years, I think that his perimeter defense and versalty was key in the NBA finals run the 76ers made a few years back. He guard every key guard/small forward during the playoffs that year. But I dont see anything left in his game that makes him a true asset other then leadership because of his experience. But we are an experience group, so that isnt going to be a factor for us. I like him but I think addressing frontcourt needs is more important, we need more then just one other big man we need two. And when we start to look at swing guys I would much rather have Allan Houston, Doug Christie, or KK comeback over him.

And then we have Croshere, the most disappointing thing to hear is that he seems to be our main free agent bigman target now. What is he going to bring that Cliff Robinson doesnt already give us...minus the defense cause Croshere cant play any. But on offense they are pretty similar guys who stand out on the perimeter alot. I much rather not add a bigman and save the money, so it lightens the luxury tax hit then invest in Croshere. I dont see how this years frontline is any better then the frontline we started last year with which was mediocore at best.

Collins equals Collins of last year.
Nenad will be better then he was at the start of last year, but not by leaps or bounds. More smarter than anything
Marc Jackson, if we are lucky will give us what Zo gave us before he got hurt and trade.
Croshere is worst then Eric Williams...

Chasing Abdur-Rahim and strictly him has been a mistake on Rod Thorn's part. He should've formed a more legitimate backup plan than just Marc Jackson, and this makes the pick of Antoine Wright a questionable call.

Marc Jackson is not as bad as everyone think, just because he is not at the level of Shareef's. But I think the acquisition of Mark is really supporting us.

Krstic, Collins, Jackson, Robinson is a good rotation.

When Collins can't score, we can put Jackson, he know how to draw the foul. Jackson is not afraid of dashing against other big men. Jackson is not a inferior rebounder, his first year of NBA, his rebound averages 7.5. He doesn't average well these year, because he doesn't have the best role and time. With Nets, he could now. and His big body is good at defending other low-post players. Don't forget the game which sixers beat the heat in April.

At least, Marc is a tough player, and SAR is a soft player.

And about Austin Croshere, I don't think he is a good player that fits us, I don't want him...Although we don't have too much options now.
