    He doesn't care as much about the money at this point in his career. He just wants to be on the West Coast and play for a contender so he can get a ring before he retires.

    Remember:

    The more the other team pays him, the less we have to pay him. That's at least what I understand about the rule. His 8 mill are still counting against our cap, though.
