The Sixers waived Aaron McKie today as the team's amnesty player. He is 6'5'' and won the 6th man award a couple of years ago. It is his 11th year, so he may just want to go to a team to win. But unless we can get a decent big man, shouldn't the Magic make a run a McKie? Here's the source
why do youll need him thow you got a crowd at the guard spot.remember stevenson yeah if youll got McKie then where will he go.

The Magic have one true SG, and 4 PG who are 6' 3'' or lower. Hedo could play SG, but he will most likely be coming off the bench for the SF. With Shareef and Steven Hunter off the Market, there are few quality big men remaining as free agents. Personally, I would rather have McKie than Augmon. Augmon's better days are behind him, as are McKie's, but I think McKie would do better. Here's the comparison: McKie PPG 2.2 RPG 2.5 APG 1.5 SPG .71 BPG .25 FG% .430 FT% .625 3P% .323 MPG 16.4 Augmon PPG 3.5 RPG 1.8 APG .7 SPG .42 BPG .15 FG% .407 FT% .740 3P% .000 MPG 12.1 McKie was traded by the Blazers with Randolph Childress and Reggie Jordan to the Detroit Pistons for Stacey Augmon in 1997 oddly enough. When you look at the career stats, McKie has been more consistent over recent years. He'll average over 1 spg, he's a career 35% 3 pt. shooter, and has the mentality of a 6th man. Im not saying he's the missing piece to anything, but he would add to our great bench. Unless the Magic go after a decent big man, they might as well try to get McKie cheap.
