I think for a long time, the clippers have had a poor starting lineup compared to other teams in the league, with the addition of mobley n cassell, clippers have a real chance at making the playoffs and might again be the stronger LA team n win more games than the lakers: CLIPPERS: C Kaman PF Brand SF Maggette SG Mobley PG Cassell 6 Livingston 7 Wilcox 8 Rebraca LAKERS: C Mihm PF K.Brown SF Odom SG Bryant PG Vujacic 6 Cook 7 Jones 8 Bynum
Dam , i hate this in ur lineup:Starting PG:Vujacic and dam i hoped that SL14 can start now ..but now they have Sam.Let's hope that we can get better PG, then compare them again.
If Sam stays healthy and is running and gunning all year, they just might make the playoffs. I at first did not like the acquistion of Sam Casell. But I think it probably will benefit SL14 in pratice. The way Casell plays, and if he stays healthy, he could play a few more years in the NBA. One of the best pullup jump shooters of all time.
I really think that Clippers have a shot at the playoffs next season. Their definetly gonna be better than Lakers agains because every day that passes that team is making one horrible decision after another. I'm still debating over whether Wilcox or Kamen should start but I think that putting Cassel into start will help develop SL into a great PG for the future. SL can learn from Cassel and gain alot of experience. Clippers have a pretty solid lineup right now but there is always room for improvment. C Kamen PF Brand SF Maggette SG Mobely PG Cassel 6 Livingston 7 Wilcox 8 Rebreca
I agree cliplove777, your lineup should be the one the Clippers use on opening night. I also agree they are ready to make it back to the post-season and have improved in the two areas they needed to, perimeter shooting and a go-to-guy in the clutch. Adding Mobley was actually better than re-signing Simmons, because it allows Maggette to move back to his natural position. Cassell was a great acquisition for this team, plus they get another 1st round pick out of the Minny trade. The move takes pressure off Livingston to step right in and lead the team. He will likely work his way into the starting lineup, but having Cassell gives the Clippers a closer and veteran to manage the game, in case Livingston is having an off night. Cassell is also money from mid range. If the Clippers stay healthy I could see them as high as a 6th seed in the West.
dang i was hoping SL could start too..this a be a good learning experience for him..he'll start next year...i also hope to see him in the soph/rook challenge in 06
I see it being more like this: PG: Livingston SG: Mobley SF: Maggette PF: Brand C: Kaman 6: Cassell 7: Rebracca 8: Ewing 9: Wilcox 10: Korolev? Rebracca will be the first big man off the bench because he's a better C than Wilcox, and Brand will play a lot more minutes than Kaman. Ewing has some nice potential, he can be pretty good for the team, and I'm still not sure about Korolev.
Start of the season: PG - Sam Cassell SG - Cuttino Mobley SF - Corey Maggette PF - Elton Brand C - Chris Kamon 6 - Livingston 7 - Wilcox 8 - Rebracca By Christmas: PG - Shaun Livingston SG - Cuttino Mobley SF - Corey Maggette PF - Elton Brand C - Chris Kamon 6 - Cassell 7 - Wilcox 8 - Rebracca Bottom line is that I don't see Cassell starting for a very long period of time...
