There are reports that the Spurs and Dale Davis may be close to a deal. Unless something breaks down some think he will become a Spur this week.

He would be a good signing, would add even more size and a guy who can defend and rebound.

Although this surely means Oberto will be the 2nd back-up PF. There would be no point in having 4 back-up centers.

Davis would be a good addition to the Spurs team. He plays tough post defense and is great at boxing out and rebounding. I'm not sure if he'll play big minutes but at the very least Davis is a serviceable backup who can step into a starting role if there are any injuries/suspensions.

Interesting... perhaps this means that the Spurs have a deal set for Rasho to get shipped out.

I sure hope that they get rid of Rasho, he was a waste of a roster spot this year. He really hasn't done all that much since being signed, what 2 years ago now? I thought that he may have been an adequate replacement for the Admiral, but I was sadly mistaken.

I think that the trade for Nazr this spring basically solidified the fact that the team doesn't see much future for Rasho on the team. So I think that the Dale Davis idea is a good one, so that he can add a little bit of back-up time for Nazr and Tim.

There had been talks about a Rasho for Tariq Abdul Wahad deal, but apparently Dallas declined. Maybe theres more to this rumour than meets the eye?

Well the Spurs just got better..what a surprise. Spurs management is unbelievably good. Dale Davis is a great player, I loved him in his pacer days with Reggie (shoulda beat the lakers! arg..) and I was actually hoping he would stick with the Pacers, but the Pacers basically spent up all their money.

Dude Rasho is much needed in SA, mainly because I love the way Steven A. Smith says Rasho Nesterovic, it's hilarious when he says it..Raashow. He's actually not that bad, he has a decent jump shot, but this move does make him out of place and should be traded..
