<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Aaron McKie was waived by Philadelphia, perhaps enabling the Nets to fill another roster spot with an experienced swingman if the 11-year veteran is inclined to move a few hours East. McKie, cut under the amnesty provision (which enables teams to cut one player and avoid paying a luxury tax on his salary), still will be paid $19.5 million by the Sixers over the next three seasons. But the Nets can sign him for the veteran's minimum ($1.13 million) if he finds a role as backup to Vince Carter and mentor to Antoine Wright to his liking. </div>

I dont think that alot of people really cared....not that it, isnt appreciated what McKie can possibly bring to the table....like Veteran Leadership/experience and Defense. But I dont think the leadership/experience part would have been as impactful here...I mean, we have Kidd.... Jefferson & Collins knows what it takes to get to the finals as Nets....And Cliff Robinson and Jacque Vaughn have finals expereince from their days in Portland and Utah, respectfully. So Iam not for sure of what kind of leadership and experience, he would bring that we dont already have honestly. I think LA needs a guy like McKie more then we do in that aspect...they have young guys like Brown, and the kid they drafted out of high school etc....shoot, Kobe got chips but he still could use a veteran guy like Mckie to show him the right way to play the game...and even how bound with teammattes.
