i saw it on prosports daily, it was up there earleir now u have to clikc on the pistons link, you have to sign up to read the whole thing ill try to get the link up later
actually spree might be able to help off of the bench.....if Detroit doesn't have to give up too much for him (I don't know what his situation is) I actually think this would be a good pick up
Did Saunders like Sprewell? I didn't get that impression but i suppose it is still possible that Spree plays there anyway.

However, Sprewell would be a solid pickup for Detroit, and fill Lindsy Hunter's role on the team.

Either way that's tough for the Pistons, Hunter was incredible in the playoffs even though it was only few minutes here and there, turned the Pistons around in those games. Back to Sprewell, I don't think Saunders had any problems with Sprewell, I think it was just managment. Sprewell would fit well with the Pistons and would be great off the bench, if he gets enough playing time, he has a good shot at 6th man of the yr.
Hunter is retiring and will likely take a role within the organization. I believe your right about the Sprewell-Saunders relationship. I think Spree had problems with the management more than his headcoach. Sprewell is capable of locking down his man, and he'll give the Pistons firepower off the bench.
Pistons main problem was not having a guy who could come in and score off the bench. Spree although is older now can still play and he is still very talented. He can give the Pistons a spark on both ends of the floor. Spree may of been a problem last year but on a contender there's no reason for him to act up. I would expect the Pistons to sign him If Finley doesn't join the Pistons. Seems Finley is headed to Miami. Which from reading a few other articles means the Pistons would likely sign Sprewell and maybe Dale Davis. Who they have been in talks with for a while.
well i guess sprewell and mcdyess will provide support off the bench...but i think their new draft pick and darko milicic should get almost just as much playing time as the other bench players
I cant see detroit making this move. Why did they wjin the championship last year? team play. spree is a great player but i dont think that he would fit well into the detroit team philosophy. especially if hes comin off the bench
