This a rough outline so please help me to tighten it up. Here is a look at the Western conference's possible lineups. I know its early and much will change but it's a start. Clippers: 1 - Sam Cassell, Shaun Livingston, Daniel Ewing 2 - Cuttino Mobley, Q Ross 3 - Corey Maggette, Yaroslav Korolev 4 - Elton Brand, Chris Wilcox 5 - Chris Kaman, Zeljko Rebracca, Mikki Moore Lakers: 1 - Sasha Vujacic, Smush Parker, Tony Bobbitt 2 - Kobe Bryant, Devean George, Von Wafer, Laron Profit 3 - Lamar Odom, Jumaine Jones, Luke Walton 4 - Kwame Brown, Brian Cook, Slava Medvedenko 5 - Chris Mihm, Andrew Bynum Suns: 1 - Steve Nash, Leandro Barbosa 2 - Raja Bell, Jim Jackson 3 - Shawn Marion, Walter McCarty, Dijon Thompson 4 - Amare Stoudemire, Bo Outlaw, (Scott Padgett) 5 - Kurt Thomas, Paul Shirley, (Pat Burke) Kings: 1 - Mike Bibby, Jason Hart 2 - Bonzi Wells, Kevin Martin, Francisco Garcia 3 - Peja Stojakovic, Corliss Williamson 4 - Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Kenny Thomas 5 - Brad Miller, Brain Skinner, Jamal Sampson Warriors: 1 - Baron Davis, D Fish, Monta Ellis 2 - JR, Mickael Pietrus, D Fish 3 - Mike Dunleavy, Zarko, Calbert Cheaney 4 - Troy Murphy, Zarko, Ike Diogu, 5 - Adonal Foyle, Andris Biedrins, Chris Taft Every team has major weaknesses. The Lakers have no interior D or experienced point guards. The Clippers are small and they look like a chemistry bomb. The Suns still lack size and are weak defensively. The Kings have no depth at the one and two. The Warriors season will be decided by their injuries and commitment to defense. I really like the Warriors chances in this group.
Hey this is good, Montay. Once the offseason trades and FA signings are all said and done, I bet we'll still be looking pretty glistening compared to the other teams. The Clippers look pretty decent, but I wonder what two shoot first, pass second guards will equate to when Brand and Magette are clippers are #1 and #2 options on offense. Heck I'd want those forwards to shoot more because they work their way to the line more often. Kings might do pretty well. They've got several allstars in their starting 5. Defense might be an issue. Bonzi's not really a 2 guard, but it could work out since he does a lot of things well when motivated. Lakers, it's hard to tell if it's more of the same from last year or if things are different. Suns, I think they'll be pretty good. They've got more defensive guys in Kurt Thomas and Raja Bell, who don't demand touches, but can score.
Tierre Brown is alredy off the Lakers, and Tony Bobbitt is highly unlikely to make the team this year. Smush Parker and Laron PRofit will probably take those two rosters spots
The Warriors look good on paper but, chemistry will be another matter altogether and that is why I feel that Monty should start the five players that play and produce better together. The Clippers for some reason have seem to own the Warriors the last 2 years but, if Dunleavy starts to play good against his daddy's team We might actually win this years season series. Is it just me or Dunleavy seems scare when he plays against the Clippers. The Lakers and Kings I don't really worry about because we always play them tough. The team that worries me is the Suns because they can run way better than us and if the warrriors are going to run this season it will be hard for us to keep up with them.
Thanks custodianrules2 and notMuchgame Thanks custodianrules2 and I agree with you about the Kings allstar laden starting five. They should put the ball in the bucket real good. notMuchgame: I edited the Lakers roster per your post. Thanks for the info.
The Kings will score a lot from their starting 5 but they're gonna tire. No depth and little D. I think the warriors and Kings should both be near 45-50 wins depending on moves and health, giving the nod to the Warriors due to team depth (hopefully BDitty stays healthy)
