<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">It's on to Plan B for Rob Babcock. Quickly. Foiled, as expected, in his attempt to sign Chicago point guard Chris Duhon and now with some tax relief thanks to the departure ? again ? of Alonzo Mourning, the Raptor general manager said he'll accelerate his search for a third point guard. "We'll make some decisions in the next three or four days on what we'd like to do," Babcock said last night. "We absolutely want to carry three point guards, it's just a matter of now not getting Duhon, what level of point guard we're going to get. "It might be a minimum-contract guy. That's the whole exercise we're going to go through now." There are only a few point guards available who would fit Babcock's criteria, although the market is rapidly shrinking. Memphis's Earl Watson, Miami's Damon Jones and Atlanta's Tyronn Lue are three who are still available but likely too expensive for Toronto. New Jersey's Travis Best and unsigned ex-Raptor Milt Palacio remain on the market. </div> Source So i guess we are going to have another point guard by seasons start for sure. Too bad it doesnt look like we're going to have JYD back. <font color="Red">Read the rules, you must provide a link to articles, and can't post full articles - og15</font>
We most likely won't get one of out fan favourites in JYD but we have a good chance at getting our other fan favourite Matt Bonner. I wonder who Babcock is going to pick up in the next few days. Omar Cook? Travis Best? Jay Williams? I guess we'll have to see...

Then we would still have room for JYD and/or Bonner. I'd love to have Bonner back too!
Jay Williams, Jay Williams...no whammys...STOP! Babcock has been talking extensively with Williams over the course of the Season. We if we get him, I won't be surprised. I also suggest Dickau. why do I have a feeling we'll land a whammy and get Best. I hope my gut is wrong though.
I really hope we can get Jay to sign here... if he can be close to what he was the the accident happened then its a very good move.
Tyron Lue would be a great fit for us !!! i would spend on him something like $2.5M and getting a very good PG... But Jay Williams can be one of the best PG in the league in a few years, we haven't seen anything from this guy and he was drafted 2nd it's mean that he have the talent to do it.

How about Derek Fisher? Lammond Murray for Derek Fisher works.

Yes, it's not gonna be easy for him, it's will take more then a few months of playing back in the high level, but the talent isn't gone! And if we can sign him now, and in a year or two we will get a PG in the level of Marbury and Francis so i buy this deal right now. But Babs doesn't want to take risks like that.
i wouldn't mind getting jaywil as well, but the worst case scenerio would be both our blue colar willams (alvin and soon to be jay) end up on the injured list...in a perfect world, both would come back in full potential...
I hope we can add Jay and Jerome, and I hope Alvin can come back. Also I think we need to trade Aaron becuause he really isn't getting PT and with Jerome, whom I hope we can sign, he will be completely out of the rotation.
Either Jay Williams or Omar Cook sounds fine to me, as long as the contract doesn't run over 2 years at the most. You guys seem to be forgetting that a guy named Roko Ukic is coming over in 1-2 years.
I really hope Omar Cook comes back. When he played, the team ran so much more smoothly, as opposed to when Alston played.
Omar Cook was very dissapointing in the summer. I'd rather see Jay Williams here because he can be real good, but Omar would be okay too I guess.
wow are you guys out of your minds....obviously we need to resign our mvp milt to a max contract ...dummies
how come jay williams isnt on the free agents list. http://www.nba.com/transactions/movement2005_name.html
