I never knew the Sonics and Hornets, that's kinda interesting.

I'm saying Kings and Lakers is a big one.

Lakers and Celtics is in the past
Kings and Lakers is also in the past.
Sonics and Hornets? Someone help me out here..

I'd say the biggest rivalry right now is Detroit / Indiana. However, there are alot of rivalries brewing up next year: Cleveland / Miami, Lakers/Clippers (better believe it!), Spurs / Rockets, Detroit / Miami, etc. etc.

    Player rivalries? Kobe / RayRay

Watching Wade and Detroit go at it brings back a lot of memory of when Jordan used to play the Pistons. Ironically Wade is from Chicago and grew up idolizing Jordan. He knew how big the rivalry was and how dirty Detroit played Jordan so you know he has a personal beef against them.

As a Rockets fan, i'd say the Rockets/Mavs rivalry is really heating up. The biggest one at the moment is wither Pistons/Heat or Pacers/Pistons.

The heat and knicks had a huge rivalry in the 90's. That was funny when Jeff van gundy was holding on to Zo's leg.

Celtics and Pacers has been pretty heated for a while now, also the Celtics and 76ers is a longstanding rivalry.

Other then Wade and Lebron being young stars..what makes you think those will be a rivalry.. The Heat are on a way higher level then the Cavs.

    Top 5

    1. Pacers vs Pistons
    2. Knicks vs Nets
    3. Kings vs Sonics
    4, Mavs vs Spurs
    5. Celtics vs Pacers

There arent really any rivalries anymore. Most of the time it is just match ups- players vs players. TD vs KG, TD vs Shaq. Basically after the Pistons and Pacers, you just have some regional rivalries due to proximity such as Nets vs Knicks, Kings vs Blazers vs Sonics etc. There arent real rivalries anymore like the 80s Celtics/Lakers then after that you can relay at least 10 rivalries. Thats when the NBA not only marketed the player they marketed the teams they played on.

    Lakers/Celts is a historic rivalry, and a good one. Pistons/Pacers is a big one now. Also Heat/Pistons, Lakers/Kings, Knicks/Nets.

Before the season started, Minnesota and Denver were hyped up about being one of the next big rivalries, but then Minnesota underachieved big time, and now the Nuggets are way better than them. I'd say the biggest rivalry right now is Indiana/Miami vs. Detroit.
