The list for next years potential FA runners is deep!

    Amahn Green
    Shaun Alexander
    Edgerian James
    Brian Westbrook

Just to name a few! Which kind of hurts each of there hopes for a huge pay day, Iv'e had my problems with Green during the season and out of the season but I actually hope we give him a pay day at the end of this year, he comes in and shows he deserves it without complaining, If not Id settle for a Westbrook or James!

I predict the Packers won't re-sign Green, either, because of his age... They're going to try Davenport next year.

I don't know Davenport signed Rodent house and is gonna want top back money, Aslong as we keep one of em and Tony Fisher though i'll be happy.

I think your right..Davenport has looked very good when given the chance in Greens absense..I think he would be fine as their back of the future.

The only problem is he doesn't have the same catching abillity as Green and a few durabillity issues, I used to be all for having Najeh Replace Amhan but the more I look at it the more I wonder.

I dont thik Davenport can replace Ahman Green. Green is just so good, and it would be extremly hard to replace him

Davenport could start on a couple of teams in this league. I think we should try to resign them both to keep that running game together. I would feel better with Green in the backfield but wouldn't panic with Davenport.

Very early in free agency, I was hoping Dallas might snag Davenport for their backup. After the Troy Hambrick experience, I'm wary of what backups look like when they fill in. So, I can't jump on the Davenport would be a great starter bandwagon yet. I think he is a valuable back to have though.

Green is 28. He has some left in the tank, so I would try to nickel and dime him contract-wise to keep him another year or two. With the upcoming retirement of Favre, I could see Green Bay going for a younger RB then too.

Davenport could hit 1600 every year. Plus, he doesnt have wear and tear

I have to agree with you guys as well. Green gives us that threat out of the backfield but if Davenport stays healthy I think he can be just as affective as Green can. I wouldn't mind us trading Green for a high draft pick at all if we give him the transistion trade.

I can just imagine if Duce or Jerome not having a huge year pittsburgh picking up another back...if it is the likes of shaun alexander or a ahmand green we will know before the year starts who will lead the league in russing because if the bus and duece can do what they did then imagine what shuan alexander can do with the steelers o-line

No way Davenport could get 1600 yards, only three running backs went over 1600 yards last year. LT didnt even get 1600 yards, he missed it by around 300 yards and LT is a elite back

Davenport would have been top pick if not for backing up portis and all the other great backs at miami

But he wont run for 1600 yards. If you do think he will then you think that he is better than LT

Just because he said he could rush for 1600 yards doesn't mean he saying he's better than LT, How did ya come to that conclusion? Davenport is an extremely talented runner without a doubt and could start just about anywhere else, Id like to keep both him and Green but I don't see it happening, We may have to go with Age over total skill though, Green's the whole damn package Davenport doesn't have the recieving skills or breakway speed but he's several years younger.

The reason i said that is because Tomilson rushed for around 1300 yards last season, so 1600 yards would mean he had a better year than LT did in 04

Stats aren't everything bro LT can, catch, accelerate, break Ankles, and crush would be tacklers, he's the whole package he's more dimensional than Najeh, just because one back has a better year than the other doesn't always mean that there better back, Look at Jamal Lewis he rushed for 2000 Yards is he better than LT and/or Amahn Green, soem could argue but I say no.
