he is 6-8, but 284 lb, he is heavy. what's your opinion about his defense to big guy ? I think he would be a good fit to nets, we need a big guy that can defend other big guy.
Other than coming off of the bench and taking space download low, I do not expect much from him. The Nets needed to get someone to be injury insurence. Personally I would prefer JYD, but Thorn obviously sees things another way. I sure hope that Clifford Robinson has a whole lot left in his tank because as things are shaping up he'll be playing some minutes. I see Kristic with ~30, Collins ~25, Jackson ~25, Robinson ~16. According to the looks of it, the Nets are completed with big bodies.

Traylor didn't have enough time to perform, but when he comes to Nets, we are lack of power forward, I think he would be a nice fit for us.
I like this fit for the Nets actually. Traylor will give the team effort off the bench and runs the floor fairly well for his size. He can give the Nets some quality minutes at PF or C. He put up 5 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 17 MPG last year in Cleveland. I'm sure the Nets could expect the same production from him.
JYD is retiring? He's only AI's age. he's still got some years left. I don't know if I like Traylor coming. As it stands we already got 3 big c/pfs in Krstic, Collins, and Jackson, and then a pf in Robinson who can play perimeter D. I think we should still go for another smaller but quicker pf who can play perimeter D. With Cleveland, Traylor would come off the bench and play C with Gooden or Varejao as the pfs, both who can guard quicker pfs. Can you imagine us with a front court of Collins/Krstic/Jackson and Traylor? We'd be way too slow and would likely have to play a zone.

But IMO most important is how to defend a big in the paint, not a quicker pf.
JYD is retiring, citing the primary reason as ankle / knee injuries. He did suffer a torn ligament in his left ankle last season and played through it, but a more plausible reason would be because he doesn't want to move to a new city again. He got traded two times in as many years, and he has kids so I wouldn't blame him. Anyway, Tractor Traylor would give you guys some much-needed frontcourt depth. He might be the best available big man for what the Nets have to offer.

Tractor Traylor 'Almost' a Net <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">NY Post - The New York Post is reporting that the Nets have agreed to terms with center Tractor Traylor, and the deal will become official if he passes his physical. Traylor was a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers last season. The Nets are now reviewing other potential guard candidates. The Nets have DerMarr Johnson, Wesley Person, Casey Jacobsen and Jason Kapono on their radar</div> NY Post
Passing the psyhical has become a key equation around these parts. But I like this addition, I slighty wanted Othella Harrington more....just to be a bit more moible on the frontcourt. But still very satisfied with Traylor....Our frontocurt wouldnt beat a turtle in a track meet....but I think we have built a solid core of bodies after the Reef disappointment. Krstic and Collins will both be starters again next year, but to replace Jabari Smith with a Marc Jackson and to add Traylor, so we can move Robinson to a more limited/special situation type of role is a solid in my opinon.
