An early-entry candidate, Williams was named Mr. Basketball in Georgia as a junior and senior while attending South Gwinnett High School (Snellville, Ga.). The 6-foot-2, 175-pound guard tallied 3,338 points, 768 rebounds, 650 assists and 355 steals during his career, helping South Gwinnett post a 103-16 record. Last season, Williams received the Naismith Award, signifying the nation?s top high school player and was named to the McDonald's All-America Team. Williams became the first high school player selected by the 76ers in the NBA Draft since Darryl Dawkins (1975, 1st round, 5th pick overall). Louis chatted live with fans on Aug. 18. I was expecting a "whatever happens happens" attitude, but this guy looks determined to make a name for himself. In the last question I believe he said he is looking to be a household name in three years. While it's very far-fetched you never know. Maybe Willie Green injury was a blessing in disguies. However, there is one thing that somewhat disturbed though(not really, it gave me more of a laugh). When asked what he expects to do in his first year he said he's looking to bring energy to the practice court.

Reason being is we might need him to play now, with W. Green getting injured. Either way though, his mid set seems right hopefully this guy is for real.

But the truth is, that's probably whats going to happen. Although I don't know how the Green situation will affect him, there's no doubt in my mind he won't be getting much playing time this year- maybe some garbage minutes and one or two games at the end of the season.
I want to prove to the Sixers that they made a good choice in selecting me for their team. ^He's gonna have to work for that, and I hope he proves us right.
I like his sound of confidence, it seems that the Sixers have some faith in him so maybe he can prove it this season.
