This is a HUGE signing.... Lol. Just kidding it's a 10-12th man signing that could possibly turn into a 7-starting(MAYBE) man. But he's getting sort of out of the potential range.
This is an amazing league. This is one of the fewest businesses where you get rewarded a 3 yr 5.7 mil contract for 4 years of sitting on the pine because you suck. Amazing!

HA HA!
Wow, yodaddy you're really smart, i should just listen to what you have to say so i can learn everything basketball! Ever considered starting an infomercial company for baskteball videos? Top-seller instantly! Actually Diop is an athletic 7-footer who can play defense and block shots, but at this point has zero offensive capabilities. He was drafted 8th overall out of highschool same year as kwame, curry, and chandler so there's still a slim amount of hope he can become more of a producer. He's still athletic and has a chance considering he can block some shots. Yodaddy go back to elementary school and learn grammar and how to type, then I'll consider anything you have to say.

If this cat is sooooooo good then a lot of other teams would of went after him. Who cares if he can play defense and block shots, what other 7 footer can't do that? For Example Deke Mutombo can block shots and play defesnse and he's one of the oldest player in the league and can school this scrub. Lol and you are telling me to go back to elementary school? How about you stop being redunded and quit repeating your self that he can block shots and play defense. Wow that sounds Conspicuously new and no one can care less about him.
Oh, I see you thought i was serious about the huge signing part. I was being thoroughly sarcastic. If you hadn't noticed already I put "Lol. Just kidding" but I guess you didn't notice that part. Obviously he's not that good, that's why I put 10th-12th man signing, meaning the end of the bench. If he ever does develope any offense I seriously could see a team having him the 2nd-4th guy they bring off the bench, maybe a 6th man. That's what I was saying. and i don't know what redunded is sorry maybe you meant redundant

I came in here making a joke about the signing, and you're telling me to shutup just because you're too ignorant to understand it. It's not my fault you're an idiot.
Well, you're both right, this signing isn't exactly making waves. I think the best reason for this signing came straightaway, and that being that Bradley has retired, and it's time to replace him. While I don't think Diop is quite the same contributor as Bradley, merely because he has some semblance of athleticism, even if it isn't much. I somehow doubt we'll see Diop getting dunked on quite as prodigiously as Bradley was. When Allen Iverson takes you to task while being a full foot and a half shorter than you, you need to go back to basketball fundamentals 101. And this nonsense must come to a close now. YAOfella, I'm looking in your direction.
It's an interesting signing, no doubt. He'll be our backup center, and hopefully Avery can work some magic with him. He is athletic, no doubt, but he has decent defensive talent and there has to be some reason why he was chosen at 8th. It's a classic example of low risk/high reward
Most likely he's gonna end up another drain on the mavs bench not unlike a lot of hte other players that the mavs have signed. He's not much faster than Dampier on defence or is he a great offensive player...meaning that he'll just play the bench and play maybe 30 min in one or two games that Dampier is injured.
