With big contracts going to curry and chandler this offseason I was wondering if the bulls are going to be able to sign ben, kirk, deng, and noc?
if the lakers could afford Shaq and Kobe on the same payroll i'd imagine we'd be able to afford them all, atleast all but one. dont forget Antonio Davis earns something like 10 million, that could be worth 2 players or 1 and half of another.
Davis's contract would expire before Gordon is due for an extension, so the Bulls would be able to give Gordon his money. I think what Chicago is trying to do is to keep all their young talent for now and see what this lineup will bring. If Chandler and Curry do not play up to expectations in the next few seasons, the Bulls would definitely deal them away to make cap space to re-sign Hinrich or Deng. However, I think it's unavoidable that one of the Bulls core would leave the team. There aren't going to enough shots to go around once these young, talented players learn that they can be the star elsewhere.
