I honestly don't see how Phoenix is a better team.....Joe Johnson was not only a huge offensive threat, but he was one of the only few people that played D on Phoenix....at this stage in his career I doubt Kurt Thomas can help the Suns that much....same goes for BG.
Here is an article explaining how the Suns improved and also where they are weaker now. Suns still in hunt for NBA title without JJ For lazy people who don't like reading here is the breakdown... - Stronger defensively in the frontcourt Thomas-Stoudemire-Marion is better than Stoudemire-Marion-Richardson - Stronger bench The biggest area of improvement for Phoenix is, instead of being seven deep they are now 10 deep. The bench consists of a solid rebounder (Grant), shutdown defender (Bell), good ball handler (Diaw), spot-up shooter (Padgett) and if Jones comes major athleticism. - Weaker backcourt They are not as good a three-point shooting team as they were last year. They are not one of the youngest teams in the league anymore. They lost their second best ball handler.
Quote:

Instead of a team built around four stars and two role players this version of Suns basketball will have three stars and seven role players

All I know is that none of us know shiet.. lol no offense to you or I.. Did you predict last season's success? I didn't.. Not at all, not to that extent.. The only thing I predicted was that they were a clear playoff team, not the best in the west in the regular season.. So as far as I see it, we might as well wait around and just watch the season unfold itself.. Basketball ain't played on paper.. We're gonna haveta hope they'll be able to duplicate last season's success and then kick it up a notch or two in the playoffs..
